this blimey cough...
Hey all,
I've quit smoking about a month ago (WOOOHOOOO, yeah, way to go, cool, we're proud, etcetera) but I'm a bit bothered with this stupid coughing of mine, that doesn't seem to go away... Every morning when i wake up, my throat hurts a lot and at night I have to cough all the time... this could off course just be a stupid cold, but I've been having this cough now for over three weeks, and there aren't any other signs of a chill... I was wondering if this could have something to do with me quitting smoking (not that I would use it as an excuse to restart it though) But I've heard of something as a smokers-cough ... maybe I got mine as a goodbye-present? ... anybody out there who has an idea? Thx |

one of my friends quit smoking after some 8 years, another after only 4, and both of them said that for a couple weeks they were coughing up shit from their lungs. not sure exactly how long though. could just be your lungs trying to clear themselves up a bit, or could be something else.
