Cardio Equipment...
Does anyone know how accurate the calorie counter on cardio equipment is? Every day I enter my weight on the treadmill or other stuff, and then while I am working out it gives me a running count of calories burned. I am using that in my calculations, and wanted to know how accurate it is.

Its just a ROUGH estimate.

Is it somewhat accurate? I mean, I could guess it would be off a little. But if I am burning 700 calories a day, is it off by 50 or 500? I know that there is no sure answer to this...just wondering what kind of error margin I should factor in.
Thanks |
I think the thing is, it could be off by either 50 or 500, it really depends on the person. The best thing to do is just keep on doing the excersize, and not worry so much about the calorie count. As long as you're eating healthy to compliment it, the excersize will increase your metabolism and you will burn off the excess fat.
