wheatgrass shots
This isn't a question about health benefits - we've been through that. I've got really severe allergies to weeds, grasses and molds. But like most allergy sufferers, I am really only bothered in the spring when there is pollen in the air. I am wondering if drinking the wheatgrass supplement in a health drink would provoke the same allergic reaction (or worse) that breathing pollen does.

hmm good question... I hope somebody knows the answer to this one.

typically people who suffer from allergies inhaling dust, pollen, spores from mold etc. are only affected by direct contact to their nasal passage. drinking wheat grass will strengthen your immune system as you know, building antibodies, working with your system... the same applies with eating local honey produced by the pollen from the very same flowers causing your reaction in the first place. |
Likely not. You have allergies to the pollens, spores and molds that exist IN grass and vegetation.
If you have bad allergies, I would consult an allergist before ingesting. Wheat shots are fun for getting pumped. |
