Spring break in Miami - A few questions.
I will be going down to Miami for Spring Break this year (2/29-3/5), but I have never been to Miami. I thought I would see if you guys could help me out.
My friends and I are all under 21 (although, I will turn 21 while I am down there) and so I was wondering which clubs in the South Beach/Miami Beach area admit individuals under 21 into their clubs. What kind of cover fees can I expect to pay for these clubs? We will be on a tight budget, so if you have any good suggestions for some cheap places/activites for us I would appreciate it. As of right now we will be staying at the Howard Johnson Caribbean Ocean Hotel on Collins Ave. I did some research and this seems to be the nicest hotel in our price range. I found some that were cheaper, but I heard some pretty bad things about them. Thanks! -k1ng |

Check out this link. Then click on Best of City Search. It should give you a starting point.
http://miami.citysearch.com/ I was in South Beach for New Year's Eve. I had a blast. It could get pretty expensive. You have a lot of Europeans bouncing around. The are usually quite a few but it seems there were more this year. I guess because the Euro is very strong against the American dollar. You have to be careful when you eat in a restaurant. They automatically include a 15% gratuity charge without them asking. Its standard in Miami Beach. You can dispute it if the service was not up to par. I did. I hate this policy because it doesn't give the wait staff any incentive to satisfy you. Most of the clubs are on Washington Ave. There is about 10 block strip where they mostly are. I suggest walking around the Lincoln Road. Its free and you can do some people watching. Also walk along Ocean Drive. Start on 5th street and walk north. Its also a good place to people watch. Go to Wet Willes on Ocean Drive. They are known for frozen drinks and they have a rooftop area to hang out. Check out Mango's, also on Ocean. It features live acts and tends to get mega packed. Very hot women there. This is all for now. If I think of somemore, I add to it. Glad

I suggest you go to South Beach and just go in to where it seems cool. They always have deals for drinks and such, so you can party without spending all your money.
Have a fun trip!
