This is what you mean I am assuming. They are your obliques, and to be honest genetics plays a big role in how prominent they will be with each person.
In order for those to show you need to have very low bodyfat %, so start doing cardio or improve your nutrition. To develop them, you can do any of the exercises on the following page: http://www.exrx.net/Lists/ExList/Wai...#anchor1944764 Last edited by Plan9Senior; 01-25-2004 at 05:25 PM.. |

*shrugs*... I thought the "V" shape came from prominent and defined lats (the large muscle group around the arm pit area wrapping around to the upper back) combined with a nice trim waistline. Plan9 may be right though and since I haven't seen my obliques in years I'm not sure what they look like

That is also a "V" The one ladies traditionally drool over is the obliques, the lats are for the professional bodybuilders to drool over..

not to disagree (well, okay, to disagree), but you've circled the ilium/iliac crest, which is part of your pelvis. you're gonna have to move that circle up so it's over the fleshy area between that crest and the the lats (bordered medially by the abs) to have the obliques marked on that picture. |
