After I wash all of my clothes, I iron my shirt and pants before I hang them up.

button up shirts get starched of course.

I also dry clean all of my dress clothes and khaki's.

Am I anal? My roomates are trying to organize and intervention.

I can be anal too.

Put everything back where it goes.
Close the lids on everything, including hair stuff and shampoo.
No clothes on the floor.
That's me at home.

Organized...and too neat to be living in the 00's :D. I guess we all should take your lead tho. I know Im luck to fold my clothes once a month, they usualy just lay in a pile till I need them....then again I dont care much :D

I don't think thats too anal. I don't iron at all. Well, not normally. I'm just too lazy to do it.

But I can't knock a guy who takes care of his clothes ;)

My mom is like that. She will even iron t-shirts. Drives me crazy when she does it. Ironed stuff is good, but there is overkill.

If you iron your underwear then your anal or maybe have OCD

Calling someone anal is just another way for sloppy/lazy people to justify their laziness.
That being said, there is nothing wrong with wanting to take care of the things you own. Now if you start putting your canned food in alphabetical order, I'd reconsider.

Theres nothing wrong with it. I say its a good idea. Specially when you are getting ready to go out you know where all your stuff is and will be all set and your friends are looking for a shirt that isnt wrinkled and pants that are tossed in a cloths hamper while they are looking for stuff in the closet not thinking that they forgot to put them away.
I usually do my laundry and as soon as its finished I hang everything that needs to be hung away, and put all my other cloths in drawers. That way im not spending wasted time looking for it.

Yeah, okay, you're a little anal. Still, it's not a bad idea. I'll bet it saves you a lot of time in the morning!

It's funny, lurkette is usually a whole lot more anal than I am about most things, but she doesn't care if her clothes are hung up inside out or not. I have to turn everything right-side-out and everything has to face the same direction in the closet.

I wouldn't say you're anal, just a lot more organized and neat than the average human. Good for you!

I would say that you are anal, and if you answered yes to the above questions, you are super anal.

maybe you just have some anxiety going on... it sounds natural to me though, don't worry about what your friends think they're probably a little jealous hehe

I consider it anal, but a good type of anal. Me, I'm a slob, so you can probably ignore what I just said.

OK - i'd agree that you're anal, but not to the point of being unhealthy. I'm the same way - and you know what - i get compliments all the time about how my clothes always look neat and put together. Your friends are just compensating for their sloppiness - Iron on.

What's wrong with being organized? There's a certain comfort in things being neat and where you want them. Have kids and it all goes away but comes back easily when they grow up.

Everything has its place and there is a place for everything!

i've found, if you leave your clothes on the washing line long enough, the wind irons the creases out of them. :)

I don't think you're being anal, it seems like a good trait to have, actually. You won't catch me doing it, but I applaud you for your organization.

well what else do you do other than iron your clothes? If that's it you're just neat, a nice quirk that everyone has. If the rest of your life you treat like your clothes, i would say you are anal.

I hate wrinkled clothes, but I don't usually do anything about it other than taking them out of the dryer quicker. You aren't that anal, we all like things done a certain way.

is there anything wrong with the way you act? of course not.

its entirely up to you....if you feel comfortable acting the way you do, then stay that way. If not, change.

You're not hurting anyone else so keep doing what you do. Maybe you're anal because you're so concerned about other people calling you anal.

I think its great that you do it. Hell, I wish I have the habbit to do it like that, but I'm a slob. Don't mind other people. Keep up the clean living :thumbsup:

I absolutely loath ironing. I think its because I'm anal. It takes me a long time to iron a shirt because I keep redoing it until its perfect.

for some reason I actually like to do laundry and iron my clothes...it makes me feel productive. I am a bit of a neat nick as well, but no one has ever complained about it.

seriously, she can be that sometimes, but a good amount of time she can be a slob like me, i love you oceansoul.

There is nothing anal about what you do. You care about your belongings and take care of them right away without shoving them into a dark corner somewhere to get ruined. Bravo to you!
