Meridia
I had some trouble loding wieght so my Dr. gave me Meridia 2 months ago. I have lost 23 Lbs and I feel great. The only main side effect in some people is high blood pressure, but mine has never gone up.

Yes it is by prescription only. All you do is lower your calories and of course get a little excersise. ( I worked a lot and didn't exercise at all and lost the weight though) The doctor told me as long as you control what you eat you will lose weight and I did. Meridia helps curb your desire to snack and it worked for me. I hope this helps.

The prescription weight loss stuff actually works, but it is generally only given to people who are severly overweight and at risk for other health problems because of it. All the over the counter stuff is pure crap, most of it amounts to just a caffenee pill.

Agree with above, however, queedo had a great response to Meridia.
Unfortunately, for most people, Meridia, and the other diet drug that is not a controlled substance, Xenical, have a much lower average weight loss- usually on the order of 3 lbs a month or so. Of course individual results vary tremendously
