third world diet

OK guys I have come up with a new (new for me) diet that I have so lovingly named the third world diet, tell me what you think. I deduced that since rice has no fat why not shove this material in one's pie-hole all day whenever hungry? I have been doing this for a few days and every day I have remembered to take my vitamens. Does anyone think this is a good idea for loosing excess fat weight while coupleing this with cardio every other day? Do any of you fitness buffs out there know if eating rice alone is a good idea for days at a time?

P.S.
If it turns out to be a good idea go ahead and use it. But if you try to make any money off this I'll sue your ass!

1) Rice digests quickly so you'll probably want to eat more and more of it as time goes on in order to be full.

2) Unless you exercise after eating each time, it will probably be converted straight into fat because all of the carbs turn into sugars which makes you produce more and more insulin which causes it to turn into fat after a certain point.

3) You probably need more protein than you are getting, unless you want your muscles to be eaten by your body so you can look all stringy like a "third world" person.

No, this won't work. You will lose some weight at first, but for a diet to be effective, it needs to be something you can do the rest of your life.

Well, you have to realize a lot of people in the third world are skinny not because all they eat is rice, it's because they either don't have enough to eat, or they are malnurished.

Eating rice is going to cause major protein deficiency, which not only will decrease your muscle mass but can cause all kinds of diseases with "third world" names like Kwashiokor.

There are few if any foods that contain all the amino acids you need to function -- hence the need for a balanced diet.

Will it be all that bad if I am taking vitamens and the like?

There's a difference between vitamins and the 20 amino acids you need to survive. Sure, you could find supplements for those too, but what's the point? You'll get better absorption and balance from real food.

Not to mention that you need some fats and cholesterol to survive as well. Do you intend to take a fat supplement (eg. lard) as well?

What you're seeking to do can be done without vitamins and supplements -- eat a moderately low-fat, balanced diet with small meals throughout the day.
