Which Fast Food restaraunt has the Fattiest Fries? Burgers? (results)

According to the data at principalhealthnews.com & nutritiondata.com, here are the comparisons between the major fast food chains.

McDonalds
-------------
Regular BURGER 10 FAT g, 280 cal
SMALL fries 10 g, 210 cal

Wendy's
----------
Jr. Hamburger 9 g, 270 cal
SMALL fries 11 g, 250 cal

Burger King
--------------
Hamburger 17g, 340 cal
Fries, salted 17g, 370 cal

Dairy Queen
---------------
Hamburger 12 g, 290 cal
SMALL Fries 18 g, 350 cal

A&W
-----
Jr. Hamburger 21 g, 430 cal
Fries 13 g, 300 cal

White Castle
----------------
Hamburger 14 g, 270 cal

Carl's Jr.
----------
Hamburger 9 g, 280 cal
SMALL Fries 14g, 290 cal

Conclusion: Avoid Burger King at all costs. They are also apparently the dirtiest fast food chain in the country.

I wonder why they even bothered using SMALL size fries as a reference. Who the hell does anybody know that gets only small fries? /boggle

I was wondering that myself. I forgot where I read it, maybe it was Time Magazine, but they did a similar report on a topic like this. The whole issue was dedicated to health, and there was a section on the "perils of supersizing." It said something like a supersized coke was 700 calories alone. That doesn't even include the super sized fries.

I used to think those studies were total bs, but after eating Wendys and McDonald's for an entire week when my band was in the studio, I literally gained about 10 pounds. That was the beginning of the end for me...

I believe it forseti.

Here, I did a quick search on calorieking.com and here is the nutritional data from supersize french fries at Burger King:

Calories 600
Total Fats 30 g
Carbohydrates 76 g

I litterally laugh (in pity) when I see fat people in their cars lined up in the drivethrough to buy this filth.

*Edit* For shits and giggles, I plugged in 'The Bacon Ultimate Cheeseburger' from Jack in the Box. Here are the jaw dropping results:

Calories 1120 cals
Total Fats 75 g
Carbohydrates 59 g

For even MORE fun.. lets just say we added in a large coca-cola fountain drink:

Calories 324 cals
Total Fats 0 g
Carbohydrates 81 g

This ONE meal (that scary enough, some of you get on a regular basis) would generously give your body:

2044 Calories
105 Fat
216 Carbs

GG Fast food.. we lose

When you have it once in a while it's ok though. I hate how some people somtimes go on about drugs etc like smoking pot, drinking alcohol or something, and they're saying all this while sipping coke and chowing on a burger. 'Cause that shit is really just as bad. Just do it every once in a while and it's ok. Although, even if i wanted to, i feel pretty sick when i eat too much of this sorta stuff.

Some of the burgers have quite a bit of protein as well, although you can get much healthy serves of protein by eating more lean meats, other diary or beans anyway....

Also, we only have Mcdonalds here in Perth, we alos have Burger King which but it's called Hungry Jack's, so i am glad we don't hvae a lot of those sorta chains over here, polluting people's health.

Burger King sure is death, very unhealthy. Which makes me scratch my head at times. On the Army base I work on, there is a Burger King on post. That's right a Burger King on military grounds. I don't know how that happens. Of course the few times I have actually gone inside the majority of the people eating there were obese civilians. I'm sure the military don't frequent that establishment.

How wrong you are.

The number of people in the military on weight management programs would boggle your mind.

I honestly don't know the numbers, but I have seen severely overweight soldiers before. It's their JOB to be in the best shape possible. This one soldier I saw was so fat, hit gut was practically spilling out of his BDU. He was a little older, but no way in hell could he have been under the allowable weight and body fat %.

Since I went on my weight loss kick, the only fast food restaurant I even eat it anymore is Wendy's. I have been about 5 times in 6 months. The others just weren't worth it.

About the dirtiness..

Having worked at KFC, one of the things about these inspections is usually you have a hint when the inspector is coming, and all those critical citations the inspectors find is what the employees still haven't fixed even knowing that the inspector is coming. I worked with a guy that would handle raw chicken and then fix up the cole slaw with his bare hands (they eventually made him wear gloves).. In general we were really bad about washing our hands.. Anyway, fast food is dirty even before you consider all the dirt in it

I think waht you dont know cant hurt you...joking All of this makes me think twice about eating fast food. It makes me feel bad that so many people are eating their fast food and dont understand why they are so overweight. One question that I have is: Is subway or any similiar chain better by a large margin? This would be good to find out. And what I don't like about their advertisement scheme..without cheese or condiments. WTF...I dont want to eat a sandwich without cheese mustard or mayo. That is part of a sandwich for me. Well enough ranting. Just fast food in general is horrible for your body.

Agree, I think their advertisement is totally misleading, but it generates a lot of income for them due to the misinformed masses. Mayo and cheese aren't necessary. Without them you are removing the huge % of unneeded calories and fat. Mustard, fat free cheese, vinegar, and olive oil are a better choices for condiments. Once you get used to eating right, you will look at greasy fatty foods differently than you do now.

This was a few posts ago, but I always order small fries! If I go to a fast food place, I always get a happy meal or its equivalent. Because really, that's all the greasy food a person should have at one time, and you get a toy! It's a no brainer.

Speak for yourself. Mayo and cheese are 100% necessary for me. Of course, they are now fat free (didn't used to be) and I use very little mayo. I love Oil and Vinegar on my sandwhiches though. Pretty much everything I eat is fat free if it comes that way.

Living in the South (USA), some places STILL do not have fat free ANYTHING, even salad dressings. It is SO frustrating. Eating out is almost impossible here. Today alone we had to have a work training meeting and they serve freaking PORK. I just ate the salad and veggies. I left the pork and cheese cake for the others at my company. (Thinking about throwing up right now)

Fast Food is crazy and depressing, honestly, most commericals are like mind control. Anyone ever notice that they have very few fast food commericals in the day but at 8 pm when your probaly hungry or bored and then they pop on those pizza hut or taco bell commericals. Then they have the wonderful "this only has X amount of calories and thats less then X place". Then in the fine print in the corner (this test was done with no condiments which happen to add about 300 raw calories to the mix.

Whenever Im forced to eat fast food I just rub most of the mayo / cheese off so I just have a tiny bit so if I am going to waste my calories I make sure that they are used on what I should be tasting, the hamburger, and not just the condiments.

McDonald's advertisments are offensive to me by association. People laughing and having a good time while eating McDonalds burgers... playing basketball on rollerstakes and playing on the beach. I'm sure 95% of the people that eat at Mcdonalds have never done activities such as these then bite into a 1000 calorie burger with 500 calorie supersize fries. MMM look at that grease dripping...

Besides, if I don't eat fast food for a while, eating a McMeal will just give me stomach trouble. Making healthful food and eating it instead of fast food is not only much cleaner and healthier for you, but is also cheaper.
