I've also been told that about 50% of eyebrow piercings end up not staying pierced. I mean, not holding the piercing, ya know? Forcing themselves out? I'd ask about that before getting it done.

BMEZine is a good place for information about any piercings or mods you might be considering, here is the site for lip piercing risks. As long as you take care of the piercing you should have little to worry about.

Eh, my parents are the same way. I slowly wore them down while I was stretching my ears. It got to the point that when I got my eyebrow done, it was met with a reaction of near apathy (resignation, perhaps?).
But, depending on how serious they are about kicking you out (I called my mom's bluff and got lucky), I'd consider talking to them about it non-chalantly, so that you can at least gauge the conviction of their statements.

I had my tongue, eyebrow, nipple and upper cartilege (ear) done... all gone now but the nipple piercing. Of all of them, I'd have to say the most painful one had to be the ear. The eyebrow was surprisingly painless, and in the two years I had it, didn't migrate at all.
Also, I've had the nipple done since 1994, and hasn't migrated one bit. Rejection is a product of proper placement, and the specific body's reaction to the piercing (I've heard). Enjoy the eyebrow if you get it done, but make sure you don't sleep on that side for a while, or it'll "sit up" on your face forever ![]() |

I've always wanted my eyebrow pierced. I haven't had the chance because of work but maybe if I go back to school I'll get one.
Remember how it was only appropriate for guys to have their left ear pierced? Is it the same for eyebrows?

Eh, the whole side issue is pretty much gone now. Rural areas still hold onto it, but only for ears. You may find some people that think that eyebrows should be left, not right, but not many.
I got mine on the left side for purely asthetic reasons.

edit: Oh, and the theory of piercings that "push out" or migrate out depends on a lot of things: the body that's being pierced, the material used for jewellery (some people reject even stainless steel), and the location of the piercing - both the body part pierced, as well as how close to the surface the piercing is done. |

I had my nose pierced, didn't hurt that bad; but it ended up getting infected so I took it out. A pain in the ass and a waste of money.

Never had the chance to get close enough to anybody with them, but from what I've seen in pictures they're not all that they're cracked up to be. It's just kinda there, really. Or maybe I'm looking at the wrong pics.
What are some peircings that you enjoy seeing on other people? Today I saw a girl with her gums peirced, and I just couldn't take my eyes of it. I love girls with multiple piercings, ears, nose and tongues. What are your thoughts? |

My sister had her eye brow done and it wouldent take it grew out left a nasty scar. BUt then she did the other eye brow and it did the smae thing. Yes, she had it done professionialy. She did her own lip though and its still there looks okay but she only did it
cause she likes that group good charlotte.(shes my step sister) My dad got mad at my mom when she pierced my ears when i was a baby, so I wasent able to dye my hair unless it was natural colors, like blonde cause I was blonde(Lame) I have my belly button pierced but I waited until i moved out lol. the eye brow is like a bee sting for a little then I heard that when you get it done you can hear it pop as it goes in. If you want to get a tat with out parents knowing my friend got them on his ankle and wore socks all the time so his mom wouldnt find out. if you want a tat hide it put it in a place where they cant see, or move out and go wild lol.

does not hurt one bit. I had mine for a while- in fact I did it myself. Took an ice cube to numb it then took a sterile pin and made the hole. It did leave a little scar, though.
That is like the least painful, along with ears and tongue. Nose even isn't that bad. Just as long as you follow up on the proper healing care. |
