Meal Replacement Drinks

Most meal replacement drinks that come in powder form say to mix with cold water.

I was thinking of mixing the chocolate flavor with hot water and making it into something like hot cocoa. Does anyone know if using hot water has a negative effect (changes it toxic chemicals or destroys the vitamins or something) ?

The vitamins are already synthetic anyway, as they're manufactured, so they're already dead anyway I imagine you can't really do any damage to them though.

Also, as for chemistry, the change is merely physical, not chemical. NO new substances are formed at an ionic level and no checmical bonds are borken. The solution is just a mixture. So no, the hot water won't mutate the drink either

Also, it's probably not to wise having these too often, as you should probably get some real food into you so your stomach can work on it and break it down. Although i don't have any evidence or anything to back this up? just an observation.

Although, as long as it tastes alright hot, then drink up

That's exactly what I've been telling women for years - it never works.

Don't do the whole meal replacement thing. If you're trying to slim down portion control and exercise are the best diet. Just be sure that the meal you eat doesen't consist of nothing but meat or all starches.

Well sized, balanced meals coupled with exercise should do your body well.

yuck yuck yuck, don't do those things, save once in awhile, when you truly have zero time to eat. Then again, you can make a sandwich in the time it takes to stir one of those things up.

Or just prepare quick things beforehand if you're on the go that much.

Thanks.

I was replacing just 1 meal per day because of my crazy schedule around the holidays and because of all the extra calories I'm eating at holiday parties.
