Renters Insurance
Should I get it for my apartment? What's a good company to go with? I got a lot of expensive electronics and other stuff.
|
Should you get it? Yes, especially with all the toys you have. Wouldn't want to have to repurchase them.
From who? I don't have an opinion. |
Great idea. Renters insurance is very inexpensive and is a wise precaution. I would just pick an insurance company with an agent that you can actually visit. Make sure that you address the issue of total replacement. Should you suffer a loss, you definitely want the same equipment or it's equivalant (read new and improved version) replaced. Don't settle for depreciated value.

Absolutely you should have renter's insurance. It is relatively inexpensive and well worth it.
Rebuilding from scratch would really suck the big one. |
Should you get it: HELL YES
I almost lost my place of rent during the last week because of the San Diego wildfires. They told my neighbours a block away to evacuate (they never evacuated my block) and I was nervous as hell because if I had to leave, I knew that what I took from my house would be all I would have. Get Renters Insurance State Farm is a good company, and no matter who you go with, it shouldnt exceed $200 per year. I have renters insurance now, btw :P |
Cheap stuff for what is priceless to you.
It won't replace memories, but it will save you from paying to restock and refurnish. |
State Farm, Aetna, USAA (if you can get in) are all good companies.
