Nutrition Bars

I've been gnawing on Balance bars(not the wooden ones) for the last couple of months to supplement missed meals. I was wondering. How do other brands stack up as far as nutritional value and taste? How about any negative effects of eating them on a regular basis?

Consumer Reports wasn't impressed overall with any of the bars. Check out their June 2003 issue in your local library, it has a full comparison chart.

I'd only recommend them as a pre or post workout eating. About an hour before or after to provide additional protein or carbs if you haven't received enough during the day but as a meal replacement, Nawwwww

Nutritional bar is just a fancy name for low fat candy bar :p

I only will eat protein bars post workout if I am on in a hurry or am not at home where I can make a good meal.

I agee to both things you said. I eat Perfect -series stuff and sometimes drink Perfect Burner. The bars are good, but the burner is a bit like bad (100% essence tasting) juice. :Z
