First of all if anyone is reading this thread with the intention of replying with a "you shouldn't do drugs, drugs are bad mmkay" reply, don't waste your time, I've already made up my mind, its my choice and I've already heard enough from DARE and stuff.

Ok so I was incredibly messed up on pot and dxm one night, and for the first time someone offered me boomers. I've wanted to try shrooms for awhile now, but never knew where to get them, so I siezed this opportunity and spent 40 bucks on an eighth. Now that I look at this bag of shrooms straight I think I may have gotten ripped off.

In the bag is 1 fairly large cap, 1 small cap, and about 1/4 of a cap. It also has 1 large stem, and a bunch of little broken parts of another stem. My questions are 1)does this sound like an eighth to you experienced trippers? and 2) is this enough for me and my friend to have a first experience with shrooms? I'm fairly sure I could trip if only I took these shrooms, but I want to do it with a friend of mine.

I don't have a scale to weigh the shrooms so thats out of the question. Also any knowledge on shrooms that you want to share feel free to do so.

And take it next to something so I can get an idea of what the size is (i.e. A ballpoint pen, a cd case, etc.)

sorry I don't have a camera to take the picture. These are guesses on the sizes for you.

The big cap is an oval shaped one, about an inch and a half long and about a half inch wide. The smaller cap is about 3/4 of an inch in diameter. The big steam is about 1 and 3/4 inches long, and then everything else is a bunch of broken up stuff so I can't really describe its size.

Mr. Wall: The weight of shrooms isnt as easy to tell as weed because the density isnt always constant and the drying process has more effect on the weight. I say just split it in half and see what happens. Sounds like youll have enough to have a mild trip but its probably better that way since its your first time. Good luck and choose your location and friends wisely.

There's nothing disrespectful about good advice, especially if it's in the recipient's best interest. It might be unwelcome and unheeded advice, but it's not disrespectful.

Thanks for the advice guys, and four fingers as I said before I've already made up my mind. I feel drugs really aren't bad, but there are people who can't handle them and get addicted. But this thread isn't for a debate on drugs.

first of all...if your downing a bottle of robotusin, not the best idea. sure its a cheap ass drug, but that shit fucks up the brain hardcore, almost as bad a X.

but now back to your question. its sounds like you got a good amount of shrooms. but you still may have been ripped, and the only way to know for sure is try them. if they get your fucked up for 4 hours or more, then you did fine. if they were duds, you got ripped.

shrooms are a fun experience. you just have to been in the right mindset and in an environment that is comfortable.

if youre planning on doing them by yourself....dont do them.
if youre planning on being around a bunch of people you dont know....dont do them.
if you've had a bad day or are stressed out or you have stuff on your mind....dont do them.
if your friends are gunna fuck with you....dont do them.

i think its a great idea to have at least one person with you who is sober and is willing to take you places and have fun with you. i just took care of a friend on shrooms friday night, and we had a blast. i was his taxi. we went to a place with go karts, mini golf, and other rides, and just had fun. he was a little kid all over again. and when he got bored, we just drove someplace else.

another suggestion i have for when you do them is try to do them during the day, and be somewhere where you have a lot of trees and beautiful scenery around. you'll have an amazing time. even a nice park would due. but anything you do, dont stay cooped up in a house. youre trip could go sour really fast. and while its easy to bring it back up by doing something active....if your stuck in a house you wont want to leave.

Robotusin is stupid. Honestly I'm not going to bore you with drugs are bad but if you really thinkt hey aren't that bad and you want to get messed up do Coke. Its crazy...and I've seen a few friends basically ruin themselves but if you think you can handle it you will be messed up.

theyre overpriced, if you want to know how much it weighs just find someone with a finger scale... and if that isnt exact enough digi's arent THAT hard to come by.

As far as if its enough, it depends on the strain (pc's, treasure coast, hawaiian, liberty cap, etc etc etc...) and who grew them. i know of instances where A stem and A cap were eaten, both fairly small and made for a crazy evening when other times you may need a whole 1/8th. if your friend wants to try them too, split them and eat them. its better you both get a little something than one of you trip your balls off and the other gets nothin.

with shrooms weight doesn't really determine potency. freshness of the shrooms and the age and condition of the mycelium from which the shrooms came play huge factors in how potent the shrooms can be. the very first small mushrooms(primordia) a myceluim produces are the most potent and can be very intense when fresh

for ingestion i suggest making a tea out of the whole batch and split it equally so in theory you both get the same dosage. steeping the shrooms in a tea breaks down the very strong cell walls of the mushrooms so your body doesn't have to. not to mention you can add all the honey you want to take away the nasty flavor.

You want shrooms? Come over to my place, walk out to the field, bend over and start picking. When I was younger, me and my friends could pick a bread bag full in a couple of hours.
We used to either make tea like Split lickity says or dry them, chop them up and fill gel caps.

You probably didn't get ripped. An 1/8 only weighs 3.6 grams, doesn't matter how long or how big they are, if the sack (bag included) weighs out to 4.6 then your straight.
