Paris via Moscow - HELP!
 

Hi Everyone!

In December we are travelling to Paris, spending 6 nights in Moscow and 2 nights in Hong Kong on the way up!
We are, however, not completely sure of the requirements in relation to warm clothing. We know that, obviously, it will be INCREDIBLY cold, but can anyone give any ideas for what kind of clothing is necessary. Ie. am I better off with a ski jacket or a trench coat? ANY comments would be great!

Miranda, my partner and I were thinking of visiting Moscow as well, however, there is apparently a crime racket running right now with street gangs preying on tourists.

Just be careful, as it might not be the most just and law-abiding place.

As far as Paris goes, it will be cold, but nothing like Moscow. Probably highs in the 4-5 C range and lows about -1 to 1 C.

Yes we'd heard similar things about Moscow. Especially in regards to terrorist attacks aimed, of course, at Russia from former Soviet Union states. But hey! Makes it all the more fun!
But yes, definately a place to be wary of I know!

Yes, Moscow is freezing in winter and burning in summer.

Paris gets cold as well, very occasionally snow in some parts.
