Reliable permanant hair removal

As I turn 26 soon, I've noticed my body hasn't stopped changing yet because as each year passes I get a little more hair on my body. I'm not ape-like yet, in fact I look normal, but I see a few sprigs of growth on my shoulders and my lower back is getting worse.

I've heard that electrolysis is reliable but thats extremely expensive. Laser surgery is an option but then it gows back after awhile half as thick.

Does anyone know of a surefire method that is within a normal persons budget? Anyone have any personal experiences with hair removal?

This would be one of my three wishes. Hair removal forever! I hate hair.

As for something reliable , the only way to completly remove it is that electrolysis.

And if that is to exspensive. Do waxing.

Hmm, has anyone tried electrolysis? I'm experiencing the same thing as yellowgowild, but I'm a wimp, and don't like pain. Reports on the process, anyone?

I'm in the process of having my back lasered ala Sona Laser.

I can't say that it feels good, but it doesn't exactly hurt. Of course what's funny is that the nurses are so amazed that it doesn't bother me! They told me that most people squirm and need breaks or even topical cream, while I just layed there and was done in 30 minutes with no problems!

It's too early to say how it's going to work, since I've only done 2 out of 5 treatments, but I am a perfect candidate with light skin and dark hair, and the fact that it didn't even grow back for 1.5 months after my first treatment when it normally grows back faster after the first one is a good sign.

I'm happy with it so far. If anyone wants, I can keep you updated when it's all done with. My third treatment is in January sometime..

Oh, and if you don't like pain, use a topical cream if you decide to do it! I have a high pain tolerance like you wouldn't believe, but from what I can tell it REALLY hurts for some people!

My girlfriend's dad does electrolysis and it does take multiple sessions for it to work permanently. So it is going to cost a lot of money. From what I understand each time you go the hair is shocked and it becomes thinner and thinner until it is no longer noticeable and will not grow back. I have heard price quotes as much as 30 bucks a hair per session. I don't know how accurate that is but I know it gets quite costly!!

Please keep us updated cause sooner or later, I'll probably go through the same thing. As for the pain, I can handle alot of pain but I can't handle alot of itching, so if it doesn't itch too much like a sunburn does then I think I'll be ok.
