re:women, make up, talking to a girl. advice please.
Ok, so there's this gal that works in the store next to me that I'm planning on asking out on a date.
However there's a certain issue that I'm not sure how to address: On two different occassions I have seen her but not recognized her because she looks totally different without her make up on. I think it was fairly obvious that I did not recognize her. My problem is I'm not sure how to answer if she asks if I didn't recognize her. That's not to say that she's unattractive without her makeup and having her hair done in a certain way; in fact I find her quite beautiful with or without her make up, hair, etc. However I do not think she realizes this as the first time that I saw her and didn't recognize her, she said "I look really different without my makeup on, don't I?". Her tone, etc. has given me the feeling that she's very self-conscious about this. So how do I answer when she asks me about my not recognizing her without sounding like I'm lying when I say I find her equally attractive with or without makeup. |

Just say "Yeah, you do look different, but you look great either way." Bonus points for you!

My experience tells me that the ladies who can go out without makeup are actually the most self-confident ones.

I have always found that a girl that looks good without makeup is way more attractive and preferable than a girl that looks good only with makeup. Why? What do you really want to wake up to every morning?
If she asks, just tell her the truth. If you two are dating, it is easy to prove it. Just tell her that you she doesn't need to wear makeup whenever she is out with you. If you are willing to be seen with her when she has no makeup on then obviously she is still hot without it. |

Don't sweat it. If this really bothers you and her it may grow into a larger issue. Just tell her you think she looks great both ways and that it may take you some getting used to recognizing the 2 of her. If you keep it light and humorous she will probably appreciate your honesty.
