Losing man breasts
Hi there. I need some help getting rid of an embarrassing problem. I am in decent condition, I'm not too fat or too thin, and have a good bit of muscle, but when I was a kid I walked really funny - like a monkey. I'd walk with my arms hanging down in front of me. Over the years, I grew small man-breasts, and walking properly didn't get rid of them.
I have tried turning them into muscle through weightlifting, but I'm doing my A-Levels right now and just don't have the time for it anymore. Can anyone offer any advice? It would be much appreciated. |

All you need is an extra 15 minutes a day for HIIT cardio (high intensity interval training). Doing 45 minutes of cardio is going to not only burn off fat, but it will burn off your muscle as well. HIIT is the best way to burn off that fat quickly and retain your muscle. Read about it and trust me, you will feel more drained after a 15 minute HIIT session than if you did a 45 minute regular cardio session You will have to start off slow, but there are charts on how to start out included on the page. They will kick your ass until you get in shape enough to do the full 15 minutes.
There are a ton of pages on HIIT, but here is a simple one for a beginner: http://www.musclemedia.com/training/hiit.asp Good luck to you! |

Walkindude, go to your doctor and ask him to examine the area. See if it's fatty tissue or breast tissue. If it's breast tissue, there is a drug called bromocripitine, which is a pill that you can take to reduce the breast tissue. Good luck!

OK. I've seen my doctor and he told me it is not in fact breast tissue but just fat. He also said that it would be very hard to completely lose. What I want to know is; has anyone else had a problem with man-breasts and successfully removed or greatly reduced them through losing weight and exercise? Any help would be greatly appreciated, because we're having hot weather at the moment, and thin shirts do nothing to conceal these things!

First thing is first: Fix up your diet. You don't want to completely cut out the carbs, especially if you're going to be working out, but you might cut it down a bit. The trick is to cut down the simple carbs like sugars, cakes, etc. The best carbs to eat are the complex ones from bread, pasta, and cereal. Remember not too much! And I know Fruity Pebbles are cereal, but they're still sugary as all hell. Try something like Corn Flakes, Special K, Total, or Grape Nuts.
Second: Make your workouts more intense by finding out your normal heart rate and then setting a goal for your heart rate to reach during exercise. This can be done with basketball drills that include 5 minutes of high-intensity workouts with 5-15 minute breaks in between. Drink LOTS of water, especially during work outs. Even if you're not thirsty, drink a cup and a half of water at least every half hour during work outs. Of course you can drink less when resting, especially to prevent overhydration, but a cup every hour and a half won't hurt you. Third: Rest. Rest a LOT. They say 6-8 hours of sleep is good, but if you can get more sleep, than do so. Remember, the changes in your body take place while you're sleeping. You could work out for a week, 24 hours a day, and besides being exhausted to death, if you're still alive, your body would have changed minimally compared to if you had gotten tons of rest in that work-out week.
