Ok, I quit. Is this a pyramid scheme?
 

I've been looking for a job lately, sent my resume in to a place called Dominion Market Research. It all seemed a little fishy from the first place, but I went for an interview seeing as I had nothing planned for today. I met the president (maybe), he said they were looking for someone to join their sales force who they could also train to be a manager to help the company branch out. He never really got around to telling me what they were selling, but he kept talking about the fact that they sell to fortune 500 companies. They want me to come in tomorrow for a full day to watch one of their company reps and see if I like the job, at the same time they will see if I fit.
I can't find any information about these people any where, except on Monster.com where they have like 3 different phone numbers.

This all sounds pretty screwy to me, but I'm wondering if anyone else has some insight.

If they ask for a payment of some sort then politely decline and leave. As long as they aren't selling you something or making you buy something wait a bit and see what develops.

I really don't like the idea of not even knowing what they sell...I've never had a job where it wasn't absolutely clear as to what the company is about. But yeah wait till you get some info on the job and definitely no buying shit to "start you off".

I'd be wary, and definately don't pay them anything. I'd even be suspicious about giving them SIN etc. Also they may make you go door to door selling stuff, theres a couple companies around here that deceive college grads into joining up and then have them sell coupons door to door.

Sounds like they want you selling Vaccuums door-to-door. At least the presentation sounds the same.

IF they don't tell you what they sell in the first interview, don't bother coming back. They are trying to trick you into joining them. They need human cannon fodder.

Speaking from experience...

MAN! I was a GREAT vacuum salesman in my day.

I say, TAKE-es THE JOB!

anytime you are asked for money other than starting business with someone. walk away. no good can come from it.

Don't ever give your money to anyone unless it is spelled out exactly what you are getting in writing. I found this on BBB, they don't have any info on the company because the company hasn't responded to their requests, which is fishy to me.
