Who here loves to work out?
 
I know I do!

About a year ago from this month I started going to the gym with my roommate, since then I've had great success with burning off lots of fat and gaining a good amount of muscle.

Now that I'm back at school, I've been using the schools gym again, which is a thousand times better than my home gym :) But what I've come to realize is that I love to work out. It really gives me a rush like nothing else. Hell, if I could, I'd spend all day at the gym! Running is one of my favorite things to do now, and I love how I can run harder and faster week by week.
I'm simply amazed at what a year of dedicated working out can do, and I can't want to see how I look in years to come!

Working out is my one time in the day when I am free from worrying about life's problems, school, relationships, family, the world. It's just me. That's why I love to work out.

Ya know, I didn't even think about that, but it is so very true. I can go down there to a packed gym and still be by myself if I want, unless of course I run into someone I know :-)

Hmm, that's no good.

Unless you have a physical problem I'm not aware of, and I apologize if you do, working out should not hurt. To what I believe as the truth, if it does hurt, that means you are over doing it. I went through it myself when I first started going to the gym. I wanted to lift at the same level that my roommate lifted, even though he had been working out for over three years and I was just starting.

As far as there being weird people... I'm not quite sure I follow you on that. Weird on what way? I mean, there are weird people everywhere you go..

It does take some time, but it is time well spent in the long run, IMO. Since you belong to a 24 hour gym, why not wake up an extra hour and a half to head over there (1.5 hours to give time for driving however far it may be and coming back and showering)? Or perhaps at the end of your day you can go spend some time there.

I love working out as well. It is truly a lifestyle and to those that do it know how much of an advantage it is and how it can benefit you in so many areas of your life.

Nothing is more healthy, safe and effective in relieving stress and making you feel great after...tehn working out.
Cheers to the health revolution and hoping that we all can have healthy workouts until the day we are too old to put our own pants on.

I like it. In fact, I tend to get quite shitty if I've missed the gym for any length of time; it seems to be quite important to my mental health as well as physical.

It helps me have a regular sleep schedule too, at the end of the day my body feels tired enough that I can't help but sleep at the right time. Only on weekdays though.

And yes it feels great to know you've pushed yourself to your limit and pushed your limits back in the process.

About half the time, I say to myself "I don't wany to go to the gym today" and I come up with lots of reasons not to. Thankfully I usually go anyway and when I get back, I'm feel better and feel better about myself because I did what I knew was right to get back in good health. The other half of the time, I can't wait until my rest day is over and I can go back to the gym.

yeah i love working out, but more so listening to the music whilst doing it, such that you sometimes become in a raged state or pumped and it makes you feels invincible. I really don't think i could manage a sustainably long workout whilst not listening to music. I also don't go to the gym either, mainly for most of the apathetic and uninspirational muic they play (plus it costs a bunch) so i just work out in my room, with my somewhat limited weights, i really do need to get more. Also, after the workout i feel fucking great, its the endoirphins i guess?

Love it ..It is my salvation [although I wish the hard work and love showed better results].

It is my time of the day to put on my discman, crank Metallica and pound some Iron or run on the tread...nothing else exists for those couple of hours...not work, not the family, not friends...just me and my goals...

I'm the exact same way. I only workout 4 times per week, not counting whatever I do on the weekend (basketball, biking, tennis, etc.), and half of the time It's a chore to get my ass out of bed to workout before work, but I always feel better afterwards. ALWAYS! That's the rush I look forward to. :crazy:

I also love to work out. I took a couple weeks off from exercise because I was run down & sick. I ended up getting stressed out because I didn't have my exercise to relax me. Exercise wakes me up in the morning and gets me going in the right direction. I love going to work and feeling that I've already accomplished something.

I hate working out - but it's something I force myself to do 3 times a week.

And, like <b>cliv</b> and <b>Jadey</b>, I feel a lot better about myself those nights driving home from the gym.

But being at the gym and the actual workout?
Nope - Lots of things I'd rather be doing.

I love to go to the gym and work out. It just gives me something to do and I can build a great body while doing it. The gym I go to is a very relaxed enviroment and you can stay focused. It's an all male gym so guys don't feel like they have to show off or bulk up for the females which I think is good. But we get to catch the females walking out of the women's gym right next door if were lucky :) Working out is great, everyone should.

Working out has been doing wonders for me.
I sleep better and I sleep at the right time.
I feel like my stress has been reduced in my everyday life.
Everytime I come back I feel refreshed and ready to have a nice healthy meal (I'm working on my eating habits).
Since I get better rest I feel more focused during the day and I'm more confident and energetic.
