What do you do in a hotel that you don't do at home?
 

I've been having to travel a lot for my job. The first thing I do when I get in the room is to turn the air on full blast as cold as it will go. I think I do it because I know I dont have to pay the electricity bill. Right now, I think it is about 27 below in my room but I dont mind. I love it. I might even have to pull the comforter off of the second bed to keep warm.

I think I am wierd, but I am sure there will be some other good answers.

I'm a lot less clean (tidy) as well but I think everyone is like that. I missed the trash can with a piece of paper earlier and didn't pick it up.

Watch HBO. I don't get any premium channels. :(

I also turn on the AC full time, but I do that at home also. That's about it.

1) Sleep alone.
2) Play Medievel Total War for hours without getting nagged by the wife.
3) Eat in bed
4) Leave someone else to tidy up the room and bathroom.

It's fun for a while. I travel a lot so you do tend to get bored of hotel food after a while...

I sleep poorly. that is about it. Oh, and i get sick of TV and polyester bedding.

I use 300 times more ice when I stay at a hotel versus when I'm at home.

Check in....put down my bags...find the ice machine.

Damn, I had to turn the air off. It is so cold in here I think I can see my breath. I didn't want to have to log off of here and go to bed.

Put on the porn channels and turn the sound up REAL LOUD:D

In a hotel i don't worry about towels on the floor in the bathroom, don't worry about the AC going 24 hrs a day, and don't worry about being quiet while making love with my fiance:D

I have SEX in hotel rooms, I make love at home:D

i dont make my bet or clean up anything. leave the pizza box there.

I make sure all of my valuable stuff is with me at all times. That is the first thing I do at a hotel that I don't do at home.

Don't clean up and occasionally jump on the bed when I'm bored. Thats right, jump on the bed! (Luckily I don't weigh that much so I don't break anything :) )

I act exactly the same in a hotel as if I were at home. I'm not a pig and I won't act like one just because I'm in a hotel.

Tip the maid if I make a real mess. I don't do that at home since I'm the maid there. :(

Take extra long, hot showers! And of course have the A/C below zero. I've spent way too much time in hotels this year, gets old after 2 nights.

Feel guilty about stealing the soap,conditioner,shampoo.(Why does that stuff smell so good)?

Mess the beds.

Bubble bath overflow.

Room service hates me.(3 AM toasted sandwiches are fuckin great).

Clothes everywhere.

Maid loves me (Twice so far).

Hide the bible.

Mini bar goes to cupboard and re-stocked with real shit.

Write a letter of praise to staff thanking them for such an excellent indulgence.(To cover my childish behaviour).

About the only thing was have sex as loudly as we could...other then that...that's about it.

When I travel for business:
AC full blast
Play Diablo 2: LOD for hours on end
IRC/TFP until very late in the evening
Oodles and scads of bad food-all night
TV on all night
Use all the pillows on the bed.

The first thing I do when I get to a hotel is rip off that top cover, which is all stiff and made of polyester, and I throw it on the ground.

The maids never wash the top cover and I always think of it as being caked in DNA (jizz) or other nasty bodily fluids.

Well when the wife is around we make a lot more noise during sex. That's about it. Oh and I don't sleep as well since it isn't my bed

a/c on, long showers, and i leave the towels on the sink with a tip for the maid. i'm not used to having someone serve me, guess i was born poor, and will stay that way.

I either go naked or use the big fluffy white robes they provide... Too many windows at home to do this...
Also room service, TV in bed, wake up calls and cocktails in the lounge.

I watch a lot of tv. I don't watch it much otherwise, but when I'm staying in a hotel I watch tv like I was 12 again.

I'll have to remember to take off the top cover and jump on the bed next time. :)

Last time I was in a hotel was for V-Day three years ago with the girlfriend at the time. She had to leave a day early for a family emergancy so I spent the last night alone. I spent the whole day in the hotel lounge drinking with other lonely buisness men and most of the night naked watching Cartoon Network.

Same shit that I do at home.

I used to work in the housekeeping department in a Marriott (my glory days of high school summer jobs) where we ALWAYS washed the top cover.

Don't worry about making messes and then clean up about an hour before I leave....no need to clean up messes asap

thats hilarious because i´ve seen it happen.

once again, funny cos its true.
theres just a dirtier, raunchier atmosphere in a cheap hotel when you´ve got it on the boil.

i guess i really love to eat room service in bed, which just doesn´t happen at home.

i also have a pathetic habit of losing mobile phone chargers, and other small things in hotel rooms.

I fiddle with the AC/heat 'cause I can never seem to get it right.
I always ditch the hotel pillow & use my own.
Get rid of that nasty top cover.
Sleep terrible anyway.
Make about 15 trips to the ice machine.
Buy overpriced snacks from the vending machine and eat 'em in bed.
Put my wet towels in the bathtub (my ex mother-in-law was a hotel maid at Disneyland and she said this was preferred).
Hide the Bible 'till it's time to go.
