How big are your biceps?
Sorry if this has been posted, nothing came up with search.
Anyway, I was wondering how big are your biceps and how long have you been lifting? Me, my right bicep measured in at exactly 13" while my left bicep measured in at 12.75" and I have been lifting weights for about 4 months now. I used to do some Nautilus weight machines at school, but nothing that was really specific for building biceps. I did those for about 9 months. Before that, I never really worked out at all. |
17" I've been lifting for, oh, 2 years now, although I had a hole in the middle when I injured my back and had to take a break.
|
18" or so on the right, a little smaller on the left. I'd probably lose an inch or so if I lost the 20 pounds I could stand to lose. Still, I started at 12" many years ago and I was skinny and flabby to start, so it's an achievement.
|
13 1/2" right
12 3/4" left Trying to get back in to lifting |
My right is 18" and the left is a bit smaller.
|
15 ½ right
14½ left My left arm is more cut though :) |
I was 16" back in high school 10 years ago and am bigger and stronger now but I haven't measured since then. Maybe 18? Bi's are relatively easy to work, just make sure you find an excercise that isolates them well, like curls of different types. Use a weight you can handle so you squeeze the muscle and don't swing the weight. Good luck and feel free to PM me for excercises if you want.

both are about 40cm's., right is slight bigger (cause it my "doing" arm ;) )
Also after more strenuous workouts on my holidays recently, there is no "cheating" ;) i basically have no fat on my arms. Now i just have the love handles....... |
18 inches.
They were 16 inches...but I grew fat.... |
Im not sure of my dimensions. Though i go to the gymtwice a week, im very lean, cause im mostly training for soccer. My biceps are pretty weeny i guess.
|
17.5
|
16" both. But I have a extremely low body-mass index according to a cool chart my Doctor had in his office today.
|
Im like august. I train for soccer and am pretty lean. Mine are both 14" but theres no fat so I guess its not to bad.
|
16", but keep in mind your triceps are 2/3's of your arm. Don't forget the muscle that you will actually use during the day :)
|
Not as big as my forearms (Thank you Titty Board)
|
13" .. cool. maybe i'm not as skinny as i think i am
|
Hmm, maybe a better question would be what is the difference between when you flex and not..
|
Haven't measured my arms unflexed i must admit.. my confidence will go down :)
|
16 inches
|
THIRTY-SEVEN FUCKIN' INCHES
P.S. - Fuck bragging threads. |
A bit pissy aren't we.
|
im pretty sure around 14 or under, damn u guys are bulit
|
13 inches.
OH. You mean my biceps. Also 13 inches ;-) |
Well, just to update.
When I posted this on 7/28 my right bicep was 13.0" and my left about 12.75" Today on 9/22 my right arm is 13.5" and my left arm is 13.25" I've gained 1/2 an inch in about two months. Not bad if I do say so myself :) |
Going out to buy me a measuring tape tomarrow and i'll post my results.
|
12 inch's each , thats flexed
I lack the fat that some of you guys in the 18-19 range probably have :p |
Mine are 13 inch each.
But it will be more when I measure after I went to the gym. |
about 16 or so...pretty lean, unlike the rest of me
|
12 each, unflexed
then again, I'm not a strength trainer, Im a racer (triatholons) so the bicep is pretty useless to me. |
Finnaly got a measuring tape. My big guns are 13 1/2 each. YAY! I AM HUGE!! not... :<
|
Left 22 1/2 inches
Right 22 3/4 inches Not bad for a 19 year old. |
About 19" on both sides, but I've been doing this on & off for years and it's been a few weeks off.
So they've been bigger, and they been smaller. My bi's are my weak point, my tri's are abnormally strong. Just judge yourself by your own proportion and effort given. As you age your mass will naturally build. And as you continue weightlifting safely, you will grow over time also. 1 year is not that significant amount of time, and your bodytype might not develop as easy. Sometimes taller people have a harder time developing proportionately in comparison to short. Sometimes some people are skinnier naturally, genetics does come into play. Try free weights more, try varying your techniques more, Doing less reps and more weight tends to add mass faster. For the most part just keep at it, but remember this is not a race, this is for your personal wellbeing. |
