How big are your biceps?
Sorry if this has been posted, nothing came up with search.
Anyway, I was wondering how big are your biceps and how long have you been lifting? Me, my right bicep measured in at exactly 13" while my left bicep measured in at 12.75" and I have been lifting weights for about 4 months now. I used to do some Nautilus weight machines at school, but nothing that was really specific for building biceps. I did those for about 9 months. Before that, I never really worked out at all. |

18" or so on the right, a little smaller on the left. I'd probably lose an inch or so if I lost the 20 pounds I could stand to lose. Still, I started at 12" many years ago and I was skinny and flabby to start, so it's an achievement.

I was 16" back in high school 10 years ago and am bigger and stronger now but I haven't measured since then. Maybe 18? Bi's are relatively easy to work, just make sure you find an excercise that isolates them well, like curls of different types. Use a weight you can handle so you squeeze the muscle and don't swing the weight. Good luck and feel free to PM me for excercises if you want.

About 19" on both sides, but I've been doing this on & off for years and it's been a few weeks off.
So they've been bigger, and they been smaller. My bi's are my weak point, my tri's are abnormally strong. Just judge yourself by your own proportion and effort given. As you age your mass will naturally build. And as you continue weightlifting safely, you will grow over time also. 1 year is not that significant amount of time, and your bodytype might not develop as easy. Sometimes taller people have a harder time developing proportionately in comparison to short. Sometimes some people are skinnier naturally, genetics does come into play. Try free weights more, try varying your techniques more, Doing less reps and more weight tends to add mass faster. For the most part just keep at it, but remember this is not a race, this is for your personal wellbeing. |
