Losing that last little bit of stomache fat

I'm in extremely good shape right now. I do tons of cardio, weights only once a week cause I play so many sports in the summer.

Anyways, In order to completly see my 6 pack I need to lose that little elusive layer of fat on the bottom of my stomache. It never seems to completly go away.

Any tips/ideas?

I've been following the stomach exercises that follow on this page for a little bit now. It's too early to tell if they work, but I can definitly feel it more than sit ups or crunches.

try working your abs real hard. as they get bigger, that layer will get streched over the abs and will get thinner by default, might help in seeing them.

I have very strong abs actually, and I can see them just fine. It's just that tiny layer of fat around the bottom of my stomache that is left for them to be truely defined.

Thanks for the link, likely I just need to combine my existing workouts with a few more additional ab-toning exercises.

I don't think exercise will do it. Best case you're just going to have more muscle sticking through the fat.

Most people agree now that there is no such thing as "spot" toning. Your fat goes off the way it came on, and unfortunately, for most people. they begin gaining weight around the belly, so that's where they are going to lose it last.

So, your best bet is to focus on diet and exercise rather than any particular workout. I happen to be on the atkins diet and like it, but really any good diet combined with aerobics should help you get rid of that extra fat over time.

I have yet to see any evidence that any of the "fat burning" supplements do any good. I think hard work and exercise are the only way.

I tend to agree HarmlessRabbit, it's most likely that I just need to push my calory burns a little bit higher than intake from where they are now.

It seems if I gain the tiniest bit of fat it will go directly to the bottom of my belly and nowhere else.

Yep. Getting a better balance of calorie intake is the only way to go about it.

Males tend to get fat around the stomach more than other places because of low bloodflow in the area.

I've got the same problem. I've been running and doing other exercises for a while now and no fat has gone away with my stomach area.

Guess i'll try out this website too.
