walking around the house without any clothes.
Nudity offends alot of people, but not me. Nobody in my family ever cared much for modesty and it wasn't uncommon to see my brothers and sisters walking from the shower to their rooms, sunbathing or walking around in the morning without any clothes. I shared a room with my brother and both of us slept in the nude. Now that I've moved out, I rarely put on any clothes until I'm going outside or it gets too cold. It just makes more sense to me. If I'm going to spend an entire Sunday indoors, why should I put on clothes when all it'll do is increase my laundry load. My girlfriend doesn't mind at all if I answer the door naked. The only people that seem to have a problem with it are Fed Ex guys and Mormons. Of coarse I've only answered the door naked a grand total of twice when it wasn't someone close (I don't care if you are a saint, don't wake me up at 8AM on a Sunday).
My question really comes down to this: is this considered ok? As long as I'm not flashing people from my front yard, I don't see anything wrong with it. If I'm comfortable and it doesn't bother my girlfriend, is it unhealthy to walk around the house without any clothes? |

*chuckle* these words came out of my boyfiends mouth, upon hearing that our roommate would be gone for the weekend (aka we had the place to ourselves): "wee! i don't have to get dressed for 3 days!"
I, personally, like pulling a t-shirt on, before wandering around, but I figure, if YOU don't have a probllem opening the door nude, than go for it. it's YOUR house. now, once you step ouside it, you can be pegged for public nudity, but I think, in all, that there's nothing weird, nothing ab-normal about running around nude. |

I wonder much the same thing. I have no problem being naked and not wearing clothes, but there are many times when strangers would seem to find it inappropriate, so it's usually reserved for time alone when I know I wont be bothered.

I think the way my family is kinda stems from the way my mom was raised. She came from a very poor household in chinatown chicago where they all slept and changed in the same room, parents included. I never asked, but I assume that they were making babies in front of the babies. After that, I guess modesty doesn't really mean anything.

It's just me and the wife, but if one of us is walking around naked for the afternoon, that's no problem. The houses around here are rather close to each other, however, so one does has to take precautions so as not to give the neighbors as cheap thrill, especially at night when the lights are on.
I know a number of other people who feel the same way. So yes, it's healthy to walk around in the buff as long as you don't freeze your bum off. |

Depends. My family is relatively modest compared to those who don't mind walking around the house naked, but I don't have any problem walking down the stairs in a t-shirt and boxers to get a pair of pants.
On the other hand, when I'm alone I really don't care what I wear. I prefer sleeping in boxers out of habit, and subsequently tend to roam around wearing similar attire after I wake up.

I think walking around naked in your own house is fine. My husband though would tend to disagree. I don't worry about the neighbors seeing me. Although, I don't think they sit and watch our house 24/7. And if they do, more power to them. It's my house, why should I hide??????

My minimum for hanging about my place is undies, shorts, and t-shirt. Never been one for the naked life. But if you enjoy hanging out in the nude, more power to you. As long as you live alone or have roommates that don't mind, it's no big deal. And answering unwanted visitors (salespeople) is fine, but if you order a pizza, have the courtesy to cover up before opening the door.

I like to hang around naked, but I don't normally flaunt my nakedness....except around my girlfriend or such.

i dress according to my comfort. I hate wearing constricting clothes at work so I usually over-compensate by being as nude as possible at home. I rarely wear underwear when i'm lounging around and if it's warm enough I go nude.
Of course I share an apartment with a couple other people so I have to frequently put my pants back on when I leave my room. :-/

i'm a nekkid kinda guy, but the girlfriend likes keeping things cold with the air conditioning, so things tend to get a tit bit nipply... if it's ambietly comfirtable, then nekkid. if not, some boxers and a tee. i don't bother with pants unless i'm going somewhere.

Asnwering the door usually requires some sort of covering-i have seen reports of people being sued or criminally charged for asnwering the door nekkid. It's your house, but the judge won't want to hear that when an entire troop of Girl Scouts have been scarred for life by seeing your pecker. |

I just can't be comfortable walking around naked, I always feel like someones watching me. I'm just the paranoid type. But at the same time, I like being naked and all, I just can't walk around the house naked, I dunno. But I do not think there's anything wrong with it in the least.

your house, your nudeness... I personally dont' mind walking around in the house naked either. I just know the rest of the family wouldn't like it. If there was a lock on the door to my room, I'd be naked a lot more often.
I find nothing wrong with it, as long as you aren't posing to the people on the other side of the window.

There is nothing wrong with being naked.... I spent a good portion of college hanging around my apartment naked or just with undies on. When my friends came over I'd throw on a tank top or a long t-shirt but hey its my house so if they didn't like it they could leave..... just don't cook while you are naked- grease splatter and all
