What is this? False Memory? Does anyone else ever have this?
This doesnt happen like every week, but I would say at least 10 or 15 times in my memory I have had these incredibly vivid dreams I can only describe as "romantic" dreams
And I dont mean sex dreams, something genuinely different. To give examples: Walking besides someone by a river bank in summer Sitting in a kitchen of an unknown flat (that in the dream was my home) talking about what to buy when we go shopping Sitting facing each other in a taxi and she leans over, touching my knee, and starts to speak And in the dream I feel such a sense of connectedness, peace with myself, that I cannot describe And I wake up, and that feeling is still there for a second, and then you realise it isnt true and you feel this awful sense of loss and lonliness. _ And each time, a different girl, and each time (and I am being honest with myself) not someone I have a crush on, or fancy, or have been close to. (I have had dreams like that also, and I know the difference) _ Is this strange? Has anyone else ever had these kind of dreams?

Dream analysis as been an ongoing process for many years, in recent years some have seen dreams as a way for the brain to unwind, all of the days events unfolded and reintegrated into a steam of unintelligible hyperbole.
Later studies may have concluded that this is simply the way that your mind rewinds your daily life so that you you can learn from your mistakes. This does make sense since reliving an experience can help you overcome obstacles that you might have had problems with the first time around. In response to your question, think about recent events in your life, do your dreams relate to anything currently occurring in your life? Any longings you may have or unfulfilled wishes? The best person to interpret your dreams is probably you..................

I've had the same dreams. I dream of SOs like it really happened (in fact last night there was a long string of dreams about an unknown SO). Sometimes when I'm awake I have to remind myself that memory never happened in real life.
After it happening to me the last, I don't, 5-10 years, I've gotten used to it and it doesn't make me sad anymore. Instead I look forward to those dreams. If you ask me, you leave your body every night, and have a separate spiritual life. Sometimes it shows you what you need, or your past, or your future. I've had dreams so real, that when they then happen IRL I go "Wait a minute, we already did this!" Don't be sad. Just keep yourself open and you'll continue down a wise path. |
