Diamond stud earrings for guys
I have the classic "one piercing in each ear" with my upper cartilage pierced in one ear as well and have always been a "hoops" guy. Generally, I keep them in unless I am playing basketball or boxing and having earrings that come out quickly and easily has always been a priority. I've been thinking adding some studs to my repertoire, mainly for special occasions. There's no way I would get a pair of ostentatious "look-at-me" diamond rocks, but something more classy. I want to get a gauge of opinions out there on what you think a "tasteful" size in diamond stud earrings would be. Also, what cut do you think is most appropriate for guys--straight up round ones or squared? And is "Princess-cut" really as femme as it sounds?

I would just generally not suppose diamond studs in male ears
unless they match the ones in your grill.

I used to have two piercings in my left lobe and two in my upper right cartilage. I always kept small rings in my right ear but had any number of different rings, studs, etc. in my left ear... including a diamond stud given to me by a lady admirer.
I stopped wearing rings in my right ear when they kept getting infected. I took the ones in my left ear out for good when I kept seeing old geezers wearing them. They looked like they were trying too hard to be young. I hate that and it was a brush that I didn't want to be painted with...

Gotta be honest, I don't care for gem studs in dudes' ears. I like studs just fine, I just think they look better plain gold or silver. Maybe instead of just a plain stud, you want to think about some kind of symbol, just small, and in a studlike fit of flush against the lobe.
Just tossing in my $0.02....

Tasteful would be in the 1/4 carrat range, IMO. Maybe less. You want something that's just going to glint and sparkle, but not be noticable without catching the light.
Then again, I have no idea what "special occassions" you mean. Are you looking for a funeral stud? Weddings? What?

personally I wouldnt do it, but I dont think it 's something that you cannot do - if it matches your overall look. It looks a bit flashy, but if your a flash type of guy or want to look like it I think its fine.
