Living in the suburbs, living in the city
I work and live 45 minutes away from NYC but thoroughly enjoy NYC. While I'm not particularly interested in finding a new job in the city (I have good employment where I am), I am interested in finding an apartment to live in on occasion -- basically when I've partied too late and don't want to drive home. Also, since I'm back in the dating scene, I want to have a place where I can take a lady back to.
Question is: how do you recommend I find a relatively inexpensive place in which I can do this? Find a roommate/whomever who is cool with the fact that I'll only be there three nights a week or so? Would love to hear your thoughts. |

If you don't need much space, you'll have a lot more options. I know some folks make agreements with people like flight attendants and pilots to take a smaller portion of rent since they won't be there as frequently.
