Mother day gift ideas
Well it is my wife's first mothers day and I so far have totally dropped the ball. I keep thinking mother day as in for my mom my grandmother, etc. Anyway I have a few thoughts, but would love if anyone had a unique or something that touched them, or any advice.
My thoughts so far: breakfast (I plan on doing). Flowers (I plan on doing). Jewelry - I am giving her a gorgeous necklace for her birthday in a month, might be to much, I have given her already a ton (of course i am told there never is enough). Spa - In the past 2 years I have twice given her a spa gift so thinking I do not want to typecast her gift. Simpsons related - she loves the simpsons, but then again I do not want to typecast her gift. |

Sadly no, little background she has a PSYD. Once she claimed to have an interest in drawing I explored that in the past, but she has never ever done anything with it, even with a Simpsons sketch book. She is a big Simpsons fan, but sadly she gets type cast in to that.
As far as jewlery since 2003 I have bought her an engagement ring, wedding ring, saph diamond ring, gold earing (hoops one side is white gold other is 14c, so she can switch each way depending on outfit), diamond earings with matching diamond necklace, heart locket (which opens up for pictures), a silver bracelet, a semi-precious stone necklace (which amazingly is not cheap at all), and I now have for her another semi-precious necklace which has diamonds on it which I know she will like. I could consider giving the necklace to her for now, and take her away for her birthday but i do want to give her something for her birthday as well, since she is turning 30, and I have been unable to giver her any gifts for a year (her dad passed away last May, and Jewish belief is 1 year of mourning where you do not get presents, no music etc...). |

I've never given my wife anything since she isn't my mother! ;-) I do give her gifts at other times for no good reason, usually something simple that would give her a little pleasure. I've found after many years that it is difficult to select just the right thing and we often just purchase what we want for ourselves. I try to do things like surprise her with a weekend gettaway, things like that.
