Window Shopping

When times are tough, and I can't spend as much money on all the crap I'd like to get, window-shopping is still something I enjoy.

Sometimes, I come across things that, even at the best of times, I couldn't afford.

This lovely, hopelessly romantic, but impractical dress costs almost as much as I earn monthly -

Also, when would I ever wear it? I still wanted it.

What did you see in the window that you wanted today?

Doesn't have to be something you'd buy...just something you want, one way or another, on the other side of a glass

Our soul from us is infinitely far.
However much we give our thoughts the will
To be our soul and gesture it abroad,
Our hearts are incommunicable still.
In what we show ourselves we are ignored.
The abyss from soul to soul cannot be bridged
By any skill of thought or trick of seeming.
Unto our very selves we are abridged
When we would utter to our thought our being.
We are our dreams of ourselves, souls by gleams,
And each to each other dreams of others' dreams.

I walk by this place twice a day. It's called Cafe Crepe.

They make crepes just inside that window. (You can see the crepe pan at the bottom left corner of the window.) The wider window is usually open and is adjacent to the sidewalk, so every morning I walk past the scent of crepes being made just a few feet from me.

I most certainly wanted one today, just like any other day.
