wallet in back right cell in back left. |
Dear TFP Members,
Stop carrying things in your back pockets before you end up with a permanent back injury like me. Sincerely, MSD Work keys in front right, iPod in front left, wallet in left inside of coat, cell phone and pen/usb drive/spy camera in breast pocket of coat. Sometimes the iPod goes in the inside right coat pocket, and sometimes the phone goes in the left pants pocket. I'm not sure why, but for the past week or so I've had an old 25 amp screw-in fuse from the days before circuit breakers in my coat pocket. |
right front pocket: handkerchief

i try not to carry too much around since im the type that gets paranoid about get mugged. even tho the area around here is somewhat safe despite its looks (sacramento). it also depends on where im going like to school or church or if im just hanging out with friends.
but i usually bring the essentials of my cell phone or keys. if im just going next door or to my badminton class at school, i leave my wallet at home. i also carry an ipod around when im walking to school. but yeah, i had my stuff stolen from me before and now i am a bit more possessive about my things. |

Front left: BlackBerry (Most of the time I just carry it instead.)
Front right: Keys Back right: Wallet Simple. |
Way too much, obviously.
In my pockets... http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3583/...4a758920_o.jpg Bike lock keys and my RoadID on the second keychain. With and/or on my bike... http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3615/...9aafae0b_o.jpg Saddle bag contains extra shoe cleats (in the plastic bag), Swiss Army Mechanic, cycling multitool, drink mix packets, a wire tie and a pump adapter. In my bag... http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3637/...b4a3d6b4_o.jpg Different SA knife in this photo, the Hercules lockblade. The bag's big enough and has enough compartments to leave plenty of room for other stuff when needed (groceries, change of clothes, bike locks, lunch, etc.). Again, way, way too much crap. Photos were taken with my work-issued iPhone. I'd have included my personal phone in with the rest, but it's broken in two and awaiting replacement. |

short list. Every day... Wallet. Chap stick. Car Keys. Cell Phone. and usually a stack of sudoku puzzles and a pen for any extended trips to the can. |
I find the lack of pics disturbing...
http://i566.photobucket.com/albums/s...Picture001.jpg ... but some may find my choice of EDC disturbing. Oh well. |
ooh, I've got a CRKT M16. Nice knife, but I don't carry it, because it used to belong to my uncle who passed away.

Though I'm not a biker I am very impressed at the capabilites of your everyday carry system. It apparently has safety equipment, repair equipment, and room for everyday items whether it be job or classroom related. I refer to them as 'systems' because I feel what you have with you not only shows what you are prepared for and capable of handling, but also defines you to some extent. I'm a business man who travels often at night through neighborhoods and situations I'd rather not be in. So, I guess my EDC system does represent me. |
In my winter jacket currently:

I also don't like to mess around with where I set everything down at the end of the day. With my crappy sleeping habits, I depend on knowing exactly where it is when I'm half awake the next morning so I won't forget anything. I've already been through leaving the keys to my locks at home, riding to the station, discovering they weren't there and having to ride all the way back home. I don't want to do it again. I wouldn't doubt that it defines me pretty well, for better or for worse. The bag, the helmet, the shoes and the ridiculous outfit all have me standing out from everyone else commuting to work. I think the regulars are used to it by now. :) |
Back pocket: wallet, if I'm driving or I might need to buy something.
Front pocket: keys, if I'm driving. Shirt pocket: sunglasses, if it's sunny. I don't like carrying things around. |

I carry nothing in my pockets. I hate things in my pockets.
Drives me crazy. In my purse, which I hate carrying, too.... cell phone, work cell, pager, keys, pens, pencil, hemp lip gloss, a highlighter, advil or pamprin, 2G USB thumb drive, and a brush. and my little wallet thingie. |
1. Cellphone in a carrying case.
2. My Keys. 3. My wallet. 4. My Watch. If I go out, it's different but in everyday(go to work etc... ), this is what I need. |
