Washing modal

Hey, so I have these soft modal sheets. The problem is that I'm sick and need to wash them. I know they say to wash on cold only, but I want to kill all the germs. What should I do ? I'm really no good at this kind of stuff.

Thanks

If you dry them in a hot dryer, the heat from that will kill the germs.

white vinnegar kills germs and is safe and non toxic. after that, you have to get rid of the vinnegar smell.

Agreed - vinegar can get rid of germs - the high acidity kills off the majority of them.

I would advise simply washing them with a bit of white vinegar thrown in and then rewashing them afterwards with plain washing powder (fabric softner etc if you use it) might help get rid of the smell.

Doesn't Lysol still make something for the wash, in a little brown bottle? I had a bottle of it long ago, but haven't seen it often in stores.
Oh, just found it on their website. LYSOL | Disinfect To Protect | Products | Brand Concentrate

Vinegar definitely does have some qualities for disinfecting, it also rinses quite cleanly. Another nice feature is it helps remove any remaining detergents so that your laundry ends up being softer. You shouldn't have a heavy vinegar smell after your load is done, I have done this many times. As Snowy had said previously, the heat in the dryer should do a good job as well.
