I fnally got an interview! :D
Well, after trying for quite some time, applying to different companies and calling them back and such, I finally got an interview for one.
It's a thrift store called Savers, and I'll be working in the back on this production line, where they turn the donations that they receive into stuff that can be sold (Price tags, etc). It wasn't what I wanted in the first place, really, but it doesn't sound all that difficult and its something. I'll be having my interview at 10 am MST on Wednesday, wish me luck . |

Good luck!!! but I don't think you can make a mistake at an interview for a thrift store job. Just seems like you don't need experience, and for decent $. Just as long as they can trust you.

Don't stop there. I've been on about 12 interviews, and I have 2 more lined up. I still haven't gotten a new job yet.

They should call to say you didn't get the job. I would sure follow up, even if it's to know for sure.

Be patient. In this economy, I'm sure managers are making constant adjustments to their needs. TVI (Thrift Value Incorporated) is a huge, multi-national company with two main divisions; thrift stores (Savers, Value Village), and real estate (The John Gault Corp.). Yes, they own the properties that the stores are located on, including the strip malls. The founder of the company, William (Bill) O. Ellison, was my best friend's step-father. He passed away earlier this year. If you want to more about the history of the company, search for his obituary. The WSJ had a great one. Good Luck!
