Chocolate and Bacon, together at last
Most people love chocolate, and most people love bacon, and now finally, you can have both in one tasty bite.
Voges chocolate has created this: Chocolate Candy Bars - Gourmet Milk, Dark & White Chocolate Candy Bars from Vosges Haut-Chocolat - Mo's Bacon Bar - New I found this out when someone gave me a box of these as a present. I've eaten this, and honestly, it's pretty good. You taste the bacon, but it's not overpowering. Try it, it really isn't too bad. |

Yeah... um... introducing bacon to chocolate is just a heart attack waiting to happen.
Dark chocolate and broccoli- now that's heaven (and anti-oxidant rich)!

There have been several food threads mentioning bacon and chocolate as a good combination. Honestly, I imagine it must be ok because the salty with the chocolate usually works in chocolate chip cookies.
I have had dates (sweet) wrapped in bacon and that is pretty great. So this must be alright. Now chocolate and broccoli....that is a big eeeeew from me. The flavours just don't go.

Twenty some years ago, I worked at a pharmacy with an old fashioned soda fountain. We made vanilla coke, cherry coke, vanilla or chocolate root beer, orange seven-up, peppermint hot cocoa...all by hand. Torani has several sugar free flavors as well as the regular sugared variety. Just a suggestion.
I think I might try the bacon chocolate. But I would make my kids taste test it first. If they like it, I'm not going near it!

I've had the curry chocolate bar from this company, but I didn't know about the bacon chocolate bar. I'd try it... Chocolate goes well with a lot of random stuff. I remember how weird it was when I first heard of people putting chocolate in their chili.

I'd eat the choco-bacon. Hell I'll eat nearly anything though. edit: I think I'm gonna make this, with dark chocolate.

actually, chocolate was orignally a savory food, not a sweet candy that we know today. the mayans or aztecs drank it with chilis, and itīs used in mole. it goes well with meat. put some chili powder on your chocolate icecream, its freakin yummy.
