this is one of my golden rules. if the person plays you for a fool this throws it back at them straight away and there is always the possibility of copying a number wrong. i do this EVERY time i get a number from someone and it has saved me on a few occasions eg mistaking a 9 for a 5 etc.

I wouldn't think a guy was desperate if he called me even the same day. I gave him my number for a reason - to get a call!

I like that logic. But why stop there? Don't just call- show up. Always better to do things in person. Go on, show her you're rebel, in person. So show up a little drunk, or a lot your choice. Plus chicks are into sensitive guys so feel free to cry. Chicks also dig a guy who respects women, so try crying about your mom.

I think this plan would be best if you did it right after the bars closed. You could tell her you struck out with every lady you met that night, so she's the only girl for you.

With the lottery you have to guess numbers. Late night drunken blow jobs requires you to guess what a girl wants to hear. Statistics isn't my thing but I think you have better odds at the blow job.

I think if you're ridiculously good looking or rich--or both (!), you can just show up and say you're ready to fuck, get a blow job, etc., whatever strikes your fancy, and you'll get it.

Mere mortals such as ourselves can't do that. However, with us being intellectuals, we can manipulate the system by doing things like showing up drunk and making up a sad story about our dog dying and then crying about it. Such a stunt, puts us on the same playing field as the rich and beautiful.

Although the last few posts are quite funny, I'm gonna veer back to the conformist discussion.

I think calling the next day can be bad, and following a rule is always stupid. I recently had an experience that I think shows both. We met at a bar, and she was already a bit drunk. She thought she was rambling a lot and told me several times that she was usually shy, calm, and not all the bad things she thought she was doing. She offered me her number and reiterated the previous comments. Getting drunk, meeting somebody and talking a lot, then receiving a call the next day seems a little extra embarrassing to me, so I waited. If that reasoning is stupid I'm sure I'll be informed :)

On the second day I was unexpectedly busy and didn't have time to call until late, which wasn't a great idea because she works early.. So I called on the afternoon of the third day, and left a message explaining and apologizing. She didn't call back, quite possibly thinking I was following the three day rule.
