Question About Tattoos
Has anyone ever gotten a tattoo that required a lot of filling in? i just got a black cross on the inside of my upper right arm. It looks great and i am really happy with it except that it is really puffed up. I know that they do that, its my second tattoo and the other one didnt do it as much because it was a sentance and didnt require and filling, just outline. Anyway, it is very scabbed and i was wondering if that was good and if the scab got ripped off at all would it leave a whole in the ink? thanks for any help anyone can give.

the more filling the more scabbing, yes it will puff up a lot. Best is to leave the scabbing on so it heals quicker, like like if you get cut and it scabs, prevent scarring. so yea its suppose to scab.

I have bears all around my ankle and they were all filled in with different colors. I had some amazing scabs that were different colors so I would say its normal. I also agree leave the scabs alone youll only complicate things by mesing with them.

If you pick the scabs the color will look jacked up. A friend did this and had to get it retouched, with more requisite scabbing and puffing up...

There is some ointment or cream you can put on to help with the itching, but DO NOT mess with the scabs. That will mess up the tattoo

Also, for the inside of the arm, find shirts that don't have that kind of seam. I got a lot of blank ink done on the inside of my arm and I either went sleeveless, or wore a rayon shirt. If you pick the scabs, the color will be patchy. Unless that's the look you are going for, wait til the scabs come off with a warm washclothe.

Oh man, I had a 7 hour session on the back of my calf and that thing swelled beyond belief.
Remember this. When washing cup some water in your hand and gently clean it with your finger tips. After a day or two of A& d or neosporin, use a non smelly hand lotion, Curel was always one of my staples... (PS I'm sleaved on one arm and have ink on every extremity... ) but do not over moisterize. Keep it out of the fucking sun. No pools for a month. Let the scabbing just fal off, do not help it or you will have light splotches in the tattoo. |
oh man thanks alot, my shirts have been rubing it alot and some of the scabs have come off naturely already, its getting better fast which is good, i have cream that i can put on it, some shit vit.E or something, anyway thanks alot.
