Stinky feet....
OK, amongst other issues, I have stinky feet. Like "OMG, Puh-lease go wash up before dinner" type of stinky feet. Feet so stinky, that even after washing up with soap they STILL stink, and now the soap smells like stinky feet.
Thinking about getting some Gold Bond powder and putting them in my work boots and on my feet every morning. Does this work, or have any of you found a better solution? Please help me soon, I don't know how much longer my wife can keep that clothespin on her nose. ![]()

In addition t the gold bond, you need to do something to kill off all the odor causing bacteria.
I would recommend soaking your feet for 15-20 minutes in either vinager or cheap vodka. Either will kill most types of bacteria. Vinager is also really good for athletes foot. Just be careful if you have any small cuts or wounds.

Welcome back, Phant!
Back to the subject... Shoes should be leather or cloth-don't use any fake materials. Cotton socks always. And be barefoot as much as you can at home. Daughter had stinky pinkies as a toddler and these all helped tremendously. If all else fails, buy underarm deodorant(NOT antiperspirant) and apply to the bottoms of your feet before getting dressed, primarily under the toes and the soft area between the sole and heel.

I will occasionally put hand lotion on my feet before going to bed, but I always use a light foot powder before heading off to work, the gym, or anywhere, really.
For now, agreed with above. Disinfect your feet (I'd use 90% rubbing alcohol in a wash cloth applied liberally), then apply an anti-bacterial lotion to them overnight. If your feet get too dry, they can crack and THEN you'll have some bacteria to worry about. Best of luck. |

Yes, the Gold Bond works.
Grossout alert... For a while, I had some sort of foot problem where when hot and sweaty (like after being in a shoe all day) my feet would look like parts were corroded away, and they would smell to high heaven. After taking off shoes and socks, the "corroded" parts would fill in with some sort of hardened yellowish secretion. (I have no idea what the problem really was, perhaps some form of athlete's foot) After another day in shoes, the yellow crap would have been dissolved, staining my socks yellow and the massive odor returned. The Gold Bond eliminated the odor and eventually cleared up whatever the problem was.
