I have done absolutely nothing lately... I'm at a dead zero on the cool-shit-o-meter.
The only thing that even comes close to cool was that I needed to buy a lawnmower, and instead of getting a gas or electric one I opted for the old-fashioned push-reel. My neighbors all think its cool-ish and my aunt and uncle thought so too. However, the cool-shit-o-meter only twitched a little.

I settled a major debt with my university, and am now cleared to resume classes in June. I made an appointment with my advisor, to make sure I haven't missed anything, and barring anything catastrophic, I should finally be graduating for real come September.
On that note, I've been working really hard to take good care of myself this spring so that I don't have a repeat of the spring/summer 2005, where my body crapped out on me due to stress.

I joined a gym and actually continue to attend it. This is cool for me since I have commitment issues.

I accepted an invitation to go ice skating even though I haven't been in years and didn't have any interest in going. It was a lot of fun. I want to go back again soon and I'm even thinking of buying a pair of skates.
My plan for the next cool thing I will do is pop off my keys and learn Dvorak. Great thread idea, Miss Mango. |

I just ordered a laptop. It's a major upgrade over my desktop. I've been waiting a long time to have enough money to spare to get a laptop in the first place, and so being able to do this is a big deal to me.

I made a photo album for one of the clients I work with (I work in a group home with adults with disabilities and she has downs syndrome). It had pictures of the birthday party I threw for her, and some of our holidays we went on together. She was really happy when I gave it to her, although her favourite picture was of her birthday cake *laughs*
Seems like the rest of you are up to some really cool things, my life seems mundane in comparision.

I made a new friend and helped somebody in need. It wasn't dramatic. It wasn't world-changing. It wasn't even life-changing. Nobody even knows it happened but the two of us and I'm not raising a big fuss about it. But I held her while she cried and did something completely selfless. It's possibly the best thing I've done with myself in months and makes it very difficult to get too upset about anything else going on.
The real human moments are what help us to keep a handle on life. Those who wall themselves off risk losing that.

How can you call your "mundane" ? . . .

I know you wrote this a while ago , and hopefully your life doesn't feel mundane any longer , but , creating a photo album for someone with a disability is about as far away from "mundane' as you can get . . . |

I have been sitting outside on our balcony every morning with my boyfriend before he goes to work enjoying a cup of coffee and watching the sunrise while our dog sits at our feet watching the birds wake up. It's really kind of fabulous, I have to say.

I made a slideshow for my daughter's 1st birthday party. It's amazing how much she has changed--she now seems like a tiny person instead of a living doll. We took pictures of her all but like 10 days of her first year...the slideshow has 800 pics in it, we ran it during her party against a mix of Raffi music.

I grew some balls about an hour and 1/2 ago and laid down the law to my ex bf / current 'boy toy,' with whom I share the L-word with. I'm too old for this complicated, cutesy 20-something PT relationship. He either loves me and is with me for keeps or he's gone bye bye. I'm not getting any younger dammit.

Just got back from Machu Picchu where I got to see the sun rise over the mountain tops and pour into the valley. Took the new camera up to the top of Wynapicchu, and the other mountain top (Can't remember the name)... Got some sweet shots of an almost full circle rainbow at 9000ft.
