Last minute trip to Florida
I need to get away from Philly and the job. I can book a flight today and still get a decent rate. I would like some suggestions for a town to go. Now, I can get into Palm Beach, Ft Lauderdale and Tampa. Any suggestions??
Would like to catch some spring break entertainment. Looking to go Thursday 29th through Sunday April 1st. Please Help. |
If you are looking for spring break fun, I wouldn't recommend Tampa. I've heard that Ybor City ("E-Bore City") is a good time, but when I think spring break I think of beaches, beer, and skin. I'm not sure how your timing is (I go to school in Florida and just got off spring beak), but I've been to Ft. Lauderdale and thought the town was pretty neat and the beaches are nice.
Good luck. Next year, look into Panama City and a delicious Crabby Dicks crabcake sandwich along with some drunken debauchery. |
Thanks Randerolf, I booked Ft Lauderdale. As a matter of fact I'm headed to Ybor city. Heard it's lots of fun.
I will post my experience. Have a great day |
Warf, you're going to have a problem getting to Ybor City from Ft. Lauderdale. Ybor City is a part of Tampa, which is about 300 miles away.
However, there's lots of cool stuff to do in Lauderdale, and there's lots of booze and skin there. |
One interesting thing that a co-worker told me about south florida is Tootsies's Cabaret. They took a BJ's warehouse and turned it into a mega-stripclub. It's about half and hour south of Ft. Lauderdale in Miami Gardens.NSFW LINK

Actually, lately the big party area in Florida for Spring Break is Panama City in the panhandle, South of Tallahasee. It's been pretty wild there this year from what I have heard from a friend of mine who was there last weekend.

Ok Tampa is a long way off. I actually booked Tampa and Ybor city. Note to self, proof read when posting drunk. Any suggestions for while I'm there are welcome. Thanks all |
