It looks like Dave will be going to Israel with his company to do some work sometime around February (he's in Seoul, Korea in 3 weeks in January then comes home to leave again for Israel) for Motorola, near as I can figure the only Motorola plant in Israel is in the city of Arad, in south Israel.
Has anyone travelled there? if so is there anything he needs to know about getting into the country? Also what kinds of food can he expect to find? (Im mainly concerned as to whether they have american type places to eat.) I've been looking online all nite and cant really find the info Im looking for. The only "laws" I can seem to find is that you cant drive while holding a cell phone. Any information anyone can give me about being in that area would really be helpful to me. Im really nervous about him being there working, given the things that have gone on there the last year.

I have a friend who made a short visit to Israel while serving in the US Navy. I don't know if he was anywhere near Arad, but I will send him an e-mail to ask.
I did a Google search for "Arad Israel restaurants", and found a couple of things: A list of restaurants in Arad: http://www.globaldining.com/Restaura...country=Israel. There weren't many specifics given for these places, but a few of them had "pizza" in the name so it might be okay. One of the places on the list was called Muza. I looked online and found a web site for Muza Pub. Most of the site is being developed, but the page I linked to talks a bit about the menu. It sounds like Dave would be able to get some American food (or at least Israeli versions of American food). Merry Christmas!
