PT TEST
Well I have a PT test coming up for a police dept. and have been training, its an easy test but need help getting motivated at times. Its 1 mile in 10:49 which is pretty easy, 24 push ups no stopping - 32 situps in 1 minute. and a couple of other things that are easy, however I dont want to have any surprises come test day. Any suggestion for training? staying motivated?

Well, I can't help you with motivation, but actually training for the test will be easy as hell. Just run a few miles every other day and do pushups and situps every day, or maybe even twice a day. However, always do more than what the test requires, ie 30 pushups nonstop, 50 situps in a minute.
The pushups part the only thing that might be mildly challenging, but if you just do them every day you should be fine. Another thing that helps me with my workouts is doing pyramids. Start out with one pushup, rest, then do two pushups, rest, then three pushups, rest, then four pushups, rest, and so on until you max out your pushups. After you max out, go down the pyramid backwards, ie do one less pushup than the set before, take a break, one less than that set, break, one less, etc. The breaks should be short though, no more than thirty seconds.

Thanks for the advice on Pyramids.. The pushups arent my prob the situps are, and they really arent that much of one.. However I may try the pyramid thing with them..
BTW I think I have been over running, as I've started to get really bad leg cramps and other crap. I may cut back to just running hard every other day instead of running hard every day.
