Persistent Underarm Soreness
For about 2 weeks now I've had a nagging ache/soreness in my left armpit. It feels similar to your muscle after you've had a tetnis (sp?) shot.
My initial thought was that it was an aggravated nerve that is constantly re-aggravated by putting my 13 month old to sleep. The way I cradle her seems to put pressure on the nerve at the crook of my elbow, which then causes soreness under my arm. The strange thing is that it is most painful when I'm not doing anything. Laying in bed or sitting down doing nothing is when it's the worst. So it's not a muscle thing, as it doesn't hurt to lift or hold things. I've felt under my arm a little and didn't notice any obvious swelling or redness. Still, should I see a doctor? I don't want to assume it's a nerve thing when it's actually a gland or node problem
