Hard beady things inside my earlobes! O_O

Hi,

My left earlobe was a bit red and blemished. When I pressed it, it hurt a bit so I left it alone. After a while, the pain receeded and all that remains was this hard little beady thing inside the earlobe. There's no exit for it, unlike a zit on your face. So I can't get rid of it. I thought.. okay no biggie.

Then the same thing occured to my right earlobe! O_O Now I have one on each side. What in the fcking world could this be. Am I gonna get one elsewhere?

Sounds like a great time to get your ears gauged. :D

The government is implanting tracing chips in you! Or aliens, or maybe S. Clause.

Have you ever had them pierced?

ratbastid 09-20-2006 05:48 PM

Have you done a scrotal exam?

i get these ocassionally, they are just zits. It is hard to pop them though because of the type of skin in the earlobe. Next time try taking a stick pin and puncture it and then squeeze it and watch the puss come out ;)

I'm afraid of needles, is this the only way?

Carno 09-21-2006 02:02 PM

I usually just leave them alone, or pop them if they are close to the surface.

They aren't harmful, so you don't need to do anything about them.

If they are just zits, go get some tea tree oil zit treatment- I get mine from the local health food store. Rub it on once a day for a few days and they'll go away like magic. I love that stuff!

im going with alien implants on this one. Considering they are your ear lobes it cant realy be anything bad. if they really bug you go see a doctor about it. But he will most likly just tell you alien implants.

years ago i had something like that in one ear. after a while it went away no big deal just kinda annoying for a while.

hannukah harry 09-23-2006 11:02 AM

most likely they're just cysts. i used to get them all the time as a kid/teen. i still do every so often.

You're gonna die.

only foolin'

But you will need a headectomy....

Martian 09-24-2006 08:38 PM

I think hannukah harry has it right. I've had one or two in the past. They should eventually go their own way, but if they're painful or cause you trouble you can go and get them lanced at your GP's office. It's a fairly painless procedure.

Nimetic 09-26-2006 05:09 AM

I've had those. When I was younger. Came and went, came and went. Went... didn't come back.

I don't recall having them since I was er, under twenty (maybe?). However, if you are worried about 'ear cancer' you could have it checked out.

Seriously though - in my experience, lumps come and go.

MissTiger 09-28-2006 06:16 PM

I agree that they're more than likely just zits or cysts...both completely harmless and could go away on their own with time. I really wouldn't worry about them or give them much thought at all...

Catdaddy33 09-29-2006 03:03 AM

I've had the same, its just a cyst. I had one on the back of my neck that I messed with t much and the Dr removed it. I mentioned that I had a small one in my earlobe that comes and goes and he said that it was probably the same thing. He said they are most common around the head and neck, and come and go.
