Ever google your ex's or people from your past?
i just googled an ex gf.... and found an article about her slamming her car into the same power pole she hit 5 years ago in another car accident and getting a dui. i almost fell outta my chair.
anything like this ever happen to y'all? |
I have googled my exes, and other people from my past, and myself.never anythign interesting though!
|
I've done this. On my most recent ex... Have only found pictures of her and her friends at nightclubs.
Just did it on previous ex, and found out she's now an art teacher (cool). Did this with an old co-worker, and someone with his exact name was an 80's gay-porn star. I haven't seen him for years, but I would still rag on him about that! |
All the people I grew up with tended to have common names, so googling them is a bit of a wild goosechase. (wild googlechase?)
Now my name on the other hand, is pretty unique, so googling it returns some images and work history. I like to imagine that everyday, untold secret admirer's are forlornley typing my name in to get the hit they need. :D |
Man, EVERYONE has done this! I just did it on my last ex before I got married, and apparently he's working for the local newspaper in his hometown. Well, at least he's not committed suicide. Yet.

I googled a few people from my past. There was a really good friend--we should have dated, actually, and if I'd had a scrap of social skills we would have--whose work page came up #1 under her name. Picture of her and everything. We've been emailing, trying to find a time we can talk. Very cool. She's the clearest "hit" I've had--others have been either completely missing or fairly uncertain. |
I've googled but it's hard to find the right people. If anything has happened it's rare they use the full name.
|
I have only googled a couple of people, and I have never found anything interesting. Actually the only person I have ever found anything on is my current girlfriend.
|
I've never googled anyone. Never even had the urge.
|
Sometimes when I should be doing homework or  cleaning , I find my self either googling or *gasp* myspacing people from my past. Never really found anything interesting though.

Have I ever.
Googled an ex-gf, one who moved away. I resented her moving, because I thought she should have hung around. Ten years or so passed, and I did the search. Found a lawsuit against her at work (didn't sound like she did anything wrong, though). No marriage record I could find, but when I found her phone number, there was a guy listed with the same number. Turned out he had moved away from her the year before, and he was a performer living a couple of hours away from me. The next time I was in that area, I caught his act. Couldn't think of any diplomatic way to strike up a conversation with him and mention we'd dated the same girl. So I guess that makes me a stalker, even though I never contacted her, and I don't send her e-mails, anonymous or otherwise. There is DEFINITELY no way I would start up a relationship with her, either. The motivation was probably a childish desire to "bump into her" and have it known that I didn't fall apart after she moved away. Immature, I know, but there it is. |
Yes, I've googled my ex's... to little or no avail.
For which I am glad. |
I googled my ex and got this:
http://www.zed.cbc.ca/go?CONTENT_ID=...&c=contentPage (click watch on the right hand side) (I asked her if I could post and she was eighteen at the time.) She is an actress and is attending Sheriden for musical theatre (probably the best program in canada). Pimp Tea is a local rapper in my home town and she did this because we used to party with him in highschool. Well we were in high school lol. |
Ever? Ever? Ever?
I always... I proud myself on being such a great snoop. I make a game out of it to find as much as possible. Everything from name to high school to telephone numbers to place where they have lived. Each time I get some info it leads to more info. Really Im not a stalker, even if it looks like I play one on the internet. Its all in fun. |
I do it all the time.
A girl I was madly in love with when I was younger, Anna, turned up in California. I knew that she had moved there, but didn't know she had married a local and had a kid. A guy I used to go to high school with some 100 miles away is a science teacher at one of the local elementary schools, which was a bit odd because this guy coasted through high school as the goofy jock. It's fun. It's finding an ending to all those stories about high school and crazy girlfriends. An ending you can work in a la Eddie Izzard: "...so it just didn't work. It fucked me off, I tell you. But she's dead now so..." |
I've tried to find some of the girls (now 44-50 year old women) that I dated when I was a teen, because I found a stack of letters in my parent's home that some of them had sent me. I actually located a couple of them, and exchanged e-mails with them; a couple of others, I've had NO luck finding. Google, Classmates.com, nothing.
