Father's Day Gift Idea
I am looking to get a coffee grinder for my Dad to replace the one that wakes me up at 7am whenever I visit. He uses an old plastic one that the top is broken on and is superglued together.
Does anybody know of any quiet coffee grinders? Should I go with the funny gift that is very quiet and doesn't use any electric motors (and my Mom will like how it looks): http://coffeegeek.com/reviews/grind...aus_manual_mill Or, should I go with the one that would get used more and risk the fact that it still has a motor and would make some noise. (one like this or similar) http://coffeegeek.com/reviews/grind...dprolinegrinder |

Sounds like my dad. He can fix anything with superglue, rubber bands or sticky tape.
Don't know about a quiet grinder .... after all, it's grinding. Maybe invest in some pre-ground coffee that he can keep in the freezer.

~~~~~~~~~ Since the present is for him, I'd go with the good coffee maker (how often do you visit, and is it really a problem to get up at 7:00am? Go to the kitchen and keep him company - I'm sure he'd love that as a present..
