Immigration to America on a Student Visa Help
I have a friend whose family came from Colombia to America for political reasons, but after several years here they were denied civilian status and instead of being deported back to Colombia they went up to Canada.
As it stands my friend won't be able to enter America again for another 2 years or so for any reason. He's 18 right now. What I'm over all wondering is if anyone knows anything about the US immigration policy and any way that a person could come to America with a student visa to study at a university? I basically don't have any idea where to start with all of it in seeing if I can figure out a way to help. If you h ave any knowledge about immigration and the sort, any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I'm not an immigration lawyer, and your friend should absolutely contact one... but my thinking would be -- is that the decisions his parents made when he was a minor, shouldn't effect him now... He's a legal adult now... and should be able to apply for a Visa. But contact an immigration attorney...
