mobile stocks
I got involved with the market a few years ago- still playing with it i suppose but at a more serious level. With the amount of money invested in any one particular stock, being able to purchase or sell on the fly is becoming more profitable- or the reciprical if delayed. In response to this I've been thinking about upgrading the ol' cell, to say a PDA phone, in hopes of being able to check prices, and even purchase/sell, while away from a desk. The question is, would I even be able to? I've seen plenty of people cheking quotes through proprietary engines on their phones, but what if I have a specific broker (td waterhouse) with whom I would need to actually purchase? Can a PDA phone handle Https? The windows mobile site is very pretty but gives no information whatsoever; this seems to be Microsofts rule of thumb. If someone out there actually has experience with this, their input would be greatly appreciated.

Although I'm not certain Tilted Finance is where this belongs...
Depending on how important it is to you, you may want to consider going with a different brokerage. As long as you can check the prices anywhere, if you have an agent, you can call them and scream at them to sell or buy wherever you please... I'm not certain about your technical questions, though...

Call your brokerage. Most of the big guys have systems in place for mobile trading via fairly basic phones. Can't say about TDW.
