what is your ab regimen?
This might sound a little weird, but I actually use the 8 min abs programs that you used to see on tv in the 90's. It worked for me but then I slacked off and now Im getting back into it again. I prefer an ab routine that is short but intense (like the 8 min abs). If you have a good ab routine I am willing to try anything. Oh yeah, I don't go to the gym, I do everything at home with my bench and weights so leave gym equipment out. Hit me back.

Heh, oddly enough. I use that 8min ab program as well. I've found that it's pretty well rounded in exercising most of the major abdominal muscles. The only downside is that after doing it alot, it becomes too easy.
Here's 3 things to do: 1.) Make sure you squeeze the muscle you're focusing on tightly as you do each repetition, this is easily the most important part of working out your abs. SQUEEZE. (Also be sure to breathe). 2.) Once the 8minute ab video becomes easy, you can try to do the video twice in a row. OR 3.) Memorize each of the exercises, and instead of doing them for 45 seconds each, do each one for a full minute (I use an egg timer and reset it between each exercise). You can increase the length of each exercise as necessary. I now pretty much do '20 minute abs' using the same exercises in the 8 minute abs video... It has worked well for me, I've got washboard abs. Thanks spandex dudes (and dudette) from the 90's! |
