hey YOU! YOU OVER THERE! hey!!
They say success is its own reward, but I think perhaps people who "do the smart thing" don't get enough credit. So often the people who suck at life get "pity parties" telling them that it's okay that they screwed up. You know what? The people who don't screw up in the first place? They never get thanked. It takes more effort on your part to avoid being the screwup, and you get the least credit! Its people like you that make me happy to be a human, so thank you:
Thank you for not falling for that stupid mail/email scam. Thank you for not deluding yourself and lying about your motivations Thank you for being honest to yourself. Thank you for being honest in your relationships. Thank you for understanding your emotions and controlling them. Thank you for not getting yourself addicted to that drug. Thank you for thinking that through before you did it. Thank you for critically thinking. Thank you for setting that goal and meeting it. Thank you for staying by your word, and doing what you promised you would. Thank you for doing your job today! Thank you for doing it right, the first time -- not the tenth time. Thank you for not stealing, lying, or going to jail. Thank you for not killing that guy who pissed you off. Thank you for taking the mature approach and walking away. Thank you for not being morbidly obese. Thank you for helping that guy who needed it. Thank you for having the self-control to regulate yourself. Thank you for speaking your mind, without being overbearing. Thank you for being clear in your explanations to me. Thank you for studying hard for that test and/or working overtime. Thank you for owning your own home or car. Thank you for managing your finances, and NOT being ridiculously in debt. Thank you for voting. Thank you for keeping your animals (and children) under control. Thank you for being courteous in public. Thank you for driving cautiously and considerately. Anything else you guys are thankful for? You know, people doing the right thing.. the first time?

Thank you for loving me. Thank you for being the best counselor I've ever had. Thank you for helping me design and print my poster for this Sunday. Thank you for being such a nice, efficient cashier. Thank you for not giving me a ticket when I had nowhere else to park. Thank you for calling me even when I'm being a bratty daughter.

Ok I love this thread! Just had a few more hit me hard enough to come back.
Thank you for letting me take my 1 item ahead in the grocery line. Thank you for accepting "no" as the answer the first time (telemarketers listen up!).
