I've been doing pushups daily for a while now but I just discovered this thread, so I'll try and start keeping track here regularly to help the cause...

If you really wanted to raise the challenge level, start doing triangle pushups (making a triangle with your two thumbs and index fingers). My elbows start buckling whenever I do more than 10 of these :)

And if you want to make those harder, try doing them on a small medicine ball. :) I set up 3 balls and rotate around. Do a push-up with both hands on the one right ball, then each hand on the two right balls, then both hands on the middle ball, both each hand on the left balls and finally both hands on the one left ball. Then work your way back.
